~ The Galottis ~: WHAT MAKES A JOYFUL HOME? 10 REFLECTIONS
http://www.thegalottis.com/2014/01/what-makes-joyful-home-10-reflections.html
An ordinary family growing in the beautiful grace that is life redeemed by Christ. Friday, January 17, 2014. WHAT MAKES A JOYFUL HOME? A joy filled-heart makes a joy-filled home, because joy flows from the inside out, not the outside in. Joy is a choice, and it is such an easy thing to choose. Why, then, is it also such a hard thing to choose? This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. It’s a question every mother asks. It’s a question with many answers, wi...Answers, and ...

Our Prairie Home: August 2009
http://ourprairiehome.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Jeremie and I had a lovely picnic today in Hawrelak Park. It warm, but with a cooling breeze and very quiet - no busy, crazy families today! We went to the grocery store and bought our favourite picnic food: Kaiser Buns, Cheese, Ham and Potato Salad; we brought grapes and apple sauce from home. A big old comforter was spread out and a couch pillow finished the set-up. With us came books, my sketch-book and a writing tablet. Posted by Jenny - Pocketful Of Posies. Here is a pictur...

An ordinary family growing in the beautiful grace that is life redeemed by Christ. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. THE GREATEST ILLUSTRATED STORY. Have you ever watched a group of young children being taught a bible lesson? They might be bored or distracted, but unveil a prop and, instantly, they’ll perk up, sit up, and focus. It can be the most mundane visual—an ordinary glass jar half filled with water—and it still has power, grabbing attention, keeping interest. The Word became flesh. Theologians descri...

The joy of others. February 3, 2011 by katemasson. Today we said goodbye to the lovely Sarah Masson who is headed out to Malawi with Iris Ministries. For a couple of years. Someone cried. And it wasn’t Noah. We love you little Sars! And in other news, this was really fantastic:. Relationships are increasingly the only true valuable and meaningful commodity in life. And I am ever wildly grateful for how rich I am. January 25, 2011 by katemasson. All that they are grateful for. And with humility, I join.

An ordinary family growing in the beautiful grace that is life redeemed by Christ. Thursday, April 30, 2015. For the past couple weeks had the sweet opportunity to have my little sister, Caiah, here in Toronto with us. The kids got so used to having her around, and Ella barely new what to do with herself, not having "Caiah's room" to wander into each morning when she woke up. I can't imagine life with out my sisters, and am so thankful for the time we got to spend with Caiah this Spring. Ella has a dear ...

Our Prairie Home: Sunday Nature Treasures
http://ourprairiehome.blogspot.com/2009/10/sunday-nature-treasures.html
Sunday, October 25, 2009. Today was a beautiful fall day. Cool and sunny - perfect sweater weather. Jeremie and I decided that today would be a great day to go for a walk, so we piled into the car and drove to Sir Wilfred Laurier Park, or better known as the "dog park.". Jeremie loves nature, absolutely adores it. He's very knowledgeable and found me quite a few treasures today! Deep inside the nest is the comb, much like a bee's nest, but instead of honey, it's more like bedrooms for little larvae to gr...

Our Prairie Home: June 2009
http://ourprairiehome.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 7, 2009. Today I got a good reminder from my mother to keep blogging. I know it has been awhile, but at least this time I have a good excuse. Since I last blogged we were thinking about moving; well, we up and went to Edmonton. Right now we’re splitting a house with my sister-in-law and her hubby. It’s a lovely house – three bed, two bath, half finished basement. However it has been without tenents for a year and does need some serious TLC. Hence the “Ugly room.”. Previously it was full of u...

Our Prairie Home: Where Has Reality Gone?
http://ourprairiehome.blogspot.com/2009/10/where-has-reality-gone.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Where Has Reality Gone? I saw this ad today - and I could not believe it. This is a read ad by Ralph Lauren and frankly, it disgusted me. Her body has been so. Distorted by Photoshop that she actually looks deformed or on her death bed. Her head is actually larger than her pelvis. Who on earth could look at this and decide that this is what a person should look like? Sadly, I wish this were a joke but this is a real ad, and Ralph Lauren has yet to post or comment on it. Posted ...

Our Prairie Home: December 2008
http://ourprairiehome.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Time To Bake and Make. Today I did more Christmas baking - with the help of my friend Rachel; we made: Chocolate 5-Minute Fudge, and my family's Chocolate Truffles. Jeremie and I got our Christmas tree and decorated it all prettily. It's slightly "charlie-brownish" but then again, we're not spending Christmas in Alberta anyway. I am just happy that we were able to get a tree for my first Christmas as a married person anyway. I adore my nativity set, it's by the "Willow Tree".
