The Pygora Goat is a cross between the Pygmy Goat and the Angora Goat that produces several kinds of fleece and has the smaller size of the Pygmy. The Pygora was a purposeful cross, bred by Katharine Jorgensen of Oregon City, Oregon. In 1987, the Pygora Breeders Association. Was formed in the United States and has since then been registering and promoting Pygoras. Today the registered Pygora Goat may not be more than 75% AAGBA-registered Angora Goat or 75% NPGA-registered Pygmy Goat.

Our goats are registered with the Pygora Breeder's Association. There is no good or bad fiber. It all has its own unique qualities. It is a personal preference for the spinner. I will only be breeding a few does each year. My goats are more of a small hobby. There is a $100 deposit for kids that will go towards the price of the kid(s). All kids sold will be dehorned and all males will be castrated. I also raise lambs for meat, chickens, ducks, horses, cows, and a little orchard.

Goat Herd for Sale. Weve had a taste of Spring with a few warmer days and much more sunshine than weve seen in months! The barn doors have been opened and the goats are enjoying time in the yard every afternoon, basking in the sunshine. Temperatures are still fluctuating and that wind can still be cold but there is hope that winter is over. Fleece has grown thick and curly and is almost ready to come off.
