Jon and Amy: General Conference
http://jonandamyallred.blogspot.com/2012/04/general-conference.html
Jon and I met in 2001 and got married 3 years later. Nathan was born March of 2006, Matt in December 2008, and William in March 2013. We love our little boys so much, and think they are as cute as they come! Sunday, April 1, 2012. This is our basket of conference goodies. There were also some treats and coloring projects hidden in there. This is Nathan's dry-erase binder. I got this idea here. I loved this template! I downloaded it from this website. Matt is too young to write words, so he got a jelly be...

A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Thursday, November 6, 2008. Voice Recording a Personal History. I'm practicing on my husband, recording his earliest experiences on this little voice recorder. In an earlier post, I suggested using questions ranging from childhood through adulthood. I used these found here:. Http:/ www.chiptin.com/genealogy/family history questions. I'm sure there are other sources for questions, or just make up your own.

http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2008/09/back-to-basics.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Sunday, September 28, 2008. Back to Basics -1. When you want to organize a family history, you can start by filling out a Family Group Sheet, or a Pedigree Chart. If your mind works in outline style, a pedigree chart will get you off and running. If you like more details first, a family group sheet is the place to start. Let's start with the PEDIGREE CHART. Fill in YOUR full, legal name on Line #1. Okay, now on Line #2.

101 Generations: Our Family History book, update
http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2008/09/our-family-history-book-update.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Sunday, September 21, 2008. Our Family History book, update. I've been working on our familys' book for about two months now and have found it to be quite fun to add things to. I've included some favorite songs, recipes, events (minor and major), and slowly, but surely, it's getting fuller. The only hard part is to choose. Okay, so I wasn't going to share pictures, but how else will you see how I did it? October 05, 2008.

101 Generations: Sharing
http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2008/10/sharing.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Friday, October 24, 2008. One of the first things we learn at home as toddlers is how to share. Little children are quite possessive with toys, clothes, food, etc., until they learn that they must share with others, which, for some is a hard lesson to learn. But, they eventually learn it. So why is it that when children grow into adults, they begin to revert back to stingy practices again? What's mine, is mine! Be sure ...

101 Generations: June 2008
http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. If scrapbooking seems easier and will be more fun than handwriting, typing, or recording, then, that would be the thing to do. Keep in mind, though, that scrapbooking can be expensive. Posted by Patty B. Monday, June 16, 2008. Personal Journal or Life Sketch. I'm not that special! I'm not so important that I need to write down everything I do," "I don't like diaries! YES, at first; but as you get...

101 Generations: Interesting Discovery
http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2009/02/interesting-discovery.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. If you dig deep enough into anything, you'll find a treasure. So it is with my family history. While growing up, I'd heard tales of polygamist families living in Mexico, but didn't quite connect the dots that my family line would be part of it, until I began seriously researching family names. Note: Plural marriage, or polygamy, was declared to be officially discontinued in 1890.

When filling out family records, it's great to have the same paper format throughout your records. Then, you can visit FamilySearch.org. There are a bunch of them, but none of them meet together, so we are kind of lost as to what we are supposed to do next. Can you help!

101 Generations: Music
http://101generationsofmyfamily.blogspot.com/2008/08/music.html
A collection of thoughts and information about keeping personal and family histories. Monday, August 11, 2008. Music has always been a part of my dads family's history, so it should be included with a book of remembrance, or listed in journals; but because there's no "hard copy" to add, it looks like it's a piece of the puzzle that's missing; at least, for now. Posted by Patty B. I have good memories singing songs that you had us sing, whether we wanted to or not! August 18, 2008. The Family History Store.
