We are excited our fourth annual Traditional Paddlers Retreat will again be at. Camp Fellowship, Waterloo, S.C. 19 -21 May 2017. The Camp is located on Lake Greenwood, a 28 mile long by 1/2 mile wide lake with plenty of water to explore and lots of shoreline along which to practice the paddling and rolling skills we want to learn or hone. The weekend is inclusive of instruction, lodging and meals all for one small price. Meeting area with adjoining kitchenette. Entrance to Conference Center.

I discovered kayaking as a means to maintain sanity in a stressful government job. I am now retired and keep busy as a yoga teacher (200 RYT), hobby farmer, kayak instructor (ACA L2) and kayak shop groupie. I particularly enjoy helping fellow kayakers discover the more mindful side of paddling. Greenland style kayaking fits right into that attitude. The weekend is yours to tailor for yourself from among the wide variety of activities that will be available. Will begin in earnest with our guest mentors on Friday afternoon and continue throughout the weekend. Peer mentors will also be available to help with your on water practice. Scattered between the on-water skills classes will be demonstrations. Of other skills such as ropes, harpooning, kayak maintenance, games. And perhaps even a few competitions.
