An Iowa Garden: May 2005
http://iowagarden.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Gardening in a woods in eastern Iowa; a visual narrative. Tuesday, May 31, 2005. This time of year, when the rose bushes are so weighted down with flowers, they reach the ground, and the catbird is singing in his tree so enthusiastically, I fear he'll burst, it's hard sometimes to get me out of the garden. However two words will have me packing the cooler in a flash. GARDEN TOUR! Posted by IBOY @ 7:24 PM. Posted by IBOY @ 7:20 PM. Posted by IBOY @ 7:18 PM. Posted by IBOY @ 7:17 PM. Wanda in her garden.

An Iowa Garden: Two Good Things
http://iowagarden.blogspot.com/2009/05/two-good-things.html
Gardening in a woods in eastern Iowa; a visual narrative. Sunday, May 24, 2009. Every garden is a bit hit or miss; two things that have recently worked out well here are, at top, sinking a plastic tub in the ground to grow primula japonica in, and at bottom, a large oval raised, shaded flower bed with a pathway all around it. Posted by IBOY @ 6:40 AM. I love all the textures and leaf shapes in that bed, punctuated by blue and yellow. It looks so pretty with the dappled light on it. May 24, 2009.

An Iowa Garden: September 2005
http://iowagarden.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Gardening in a woods in eastern Iowa; a visual narrative. Thursday, September 29, 2005. There comes a day, every year in the garden where, sometimes without really realizing it at first, you find yourself doing the first fall, winding down, chore. Today I found myself pulling up the tall lily stakes, and realized that all too soon, frost will creep into the woods, and the show will be over for another year; a thoughtful moment, for sure. Bush didn’t get it. Barack Obama doesn’t get it. In fact other than Ronald Reagan I don’t think any US POTUS has understood the Russian situation since John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. There are mad dog leaders out there whom like to wave their dick-egos, like a swinging wrecking ball threatening your home. A Welcome to All!
