Christine and Her Camera. Monday, 29 February 2016. It only comes around once every four years so enjoy this 'extra' day! I was delighted today to find this gorgeous bunch of crocuses reminding me that spring is truly close at hand. There has been a hint of spring the past few days, with sun and clear blue skies which are so welcome! I made the most of the day and walked around Hillsborough Forest park and fort. There were lots of swans on the lake. Glad you could visit and love to read your comments!

Christine and Her Camera. Saturday, 30 July 2016. The dairy farm we visited was huge - there were over a thousand cows being milked around the clock. These are Holsteins, their milk yield is high. Waiting to go to the milking parlour. On another part of the farm we saw the cows and calves. It was staggering to see the number of calves in their little pods. The working farm and its barns. Christine and Her Camera. Monday, 30 January 2017. The Spade Mill at Cultra. At Cultra Folk Museum, a spade mill from Coalisland has been recreated. This spade mill had been in the Patterson family until the 1950's for four generations. The spade had been the main cultivating tool , not the plough until later.
