A Family We Will Grow. Thursday, January 16, 2014. Day 4 and 5 with Elle. Lanzhou sits in a valley between the mountains. The city of approximately 3 - 4 million is at 4,000 feet elevation and is the only city in all of China that has the Yellow River run through the whole city. It was the second stop on the ancient Silk Road of China. With its diverse make of ethnic Chinese groups, its an exciting place. Tomorrow is filled with adoption related activities such as going to start the process for Elle's visa and her medical exam, which should be "fun" -not really - for her. A Family We Will Grow. Tuesday, October 08, 2013. John Lennon said "Life is what happens when your busy making others plans" so we try real hard to live. These kiddos we are blessed with continue to grow and we don't want to miss a thing. Lize realized she loves roller skating. She caught on quick like she does with everything. She has NO fear at all. Just determination! Lize and Faith are a hoot together. They have a sweet connection and always have fun. Will started 7th grade. Lize loves every minute.

We visited another one of the parks here in Guangzhou, did a tea tasting and then visited "the Island" (The island has changed so much from our previous trips). A Family We Will Grow. Sunday, January 05, 2014. It's been a few months since our last post (sorry). Here's a few photos from the past few months:. Aunt Barb (James' sister) came to visit us. Will did his fist 5K run Thanksgiving morning. He finished 2nd in his age group and 110th out of almost 3,000 runners (regardless of age or sex). Uncle Dewight (James' brother) came up for Thanksgiving and was able to be at the race for Will. Another great Thanksgiving . Just like the summer, they love being outside.
