Shields R Us: October 2009
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 24, 2009. The first thing people tend to ask me is if I have the H1N1 flu. I have only been sick for 1 day people, I don't know what I have. But it sucks. It hit really fast, I have a fever and I am exhausted, unfortunately I can't sleep because my whole body hurts. I so feel like that cartoon. Except that would be me holding Wilbur instead of a teddy bear. Did you remember to go? No rest for the mom's. Friday, October 23, 2009. We have survived moves to different towns, to different co...

Shields R Us: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2010/09/lemony-snickets-series-of-unfortunate.html
Thursday, September 2, 2010. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Okay so my life may not be quite like the movie, but this summer has sure seemed to fit with the title. I iced my foot as soon as we got home, and over the next few days I took it super easy. I never went back to the gym and I decided that I should take my shoes back. Good thing! I WISH it ended there! Regan took the kids to a farewell barbecue in June for a family in our ward that was moving to Chicago. They were playing s...

Shields R Us: September 2009
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 27, 2009. Like most people, I like to watch the occasional T.V. show. I really have gotten into watching Grey's Anatomy the last 2 seasons. I like watching the drama of other people's lives. It makes me grateful that things aren't really like that. What do you do when T.V. life starts to emulate real life? This is reality. And it sucks. This is Regan's 4th cousin to have cancer, 3 more are now being tested and the second one in this family to be given a time line. Both the kids start ba...

Shields R Us: The fun parts of Summer 2010
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2010/09/fun-parts-of-summer-2010_05.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. The fun parts of Summer 2010. So if you read my post from a few days ago, you know that this summer hasn't been the best. But there has still be some good things that have happened too. On June 30th me and the kids went to the airport to pick up Grandpa and Grandma Shields from their adventure to China. The kids were so excited to see them! PLUS it was also the day that Eclipse. My SIL would have been so impressed with my new talent! At the end of that week, we headed down to t...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Ever have one of those days like you were going further back than ahead! I am also VERY greatful for the cub leader forgetting to inform me that cubs was going to be finished for the summer as of LAST. Week So here I am racing around and making arrangements to get J-Bear to cubs and an extra hour of driving and sitting outside the church in the hot sun for no reason just seemed to make things that much better . Shields R Us: Job Well Done
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2009/10/job-well-done.html
Thursday, October 22, 2009. I have been very proud of my kids the last couple weeks. They both have some financial goals in mind and have been learning to earn money and handle it properly. My son's goal is to save up for a new BMX bike and my daughter's goal is to save up some money to go to China to visit Regan's parents. (although that possibility is looking very slim at the moment). So much so the EllyMay gave her $20 for helping out. She was so excited! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Qingdao Ch...

Shields R Us: It's the most wonderful time of the year
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2010/09/its-most-wonderful-time-of-year.html
Friday, September 3, 2010. It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's back to school time again. The kids didn't find it near as funny as I did when I woke them up Wednesday morning singing the "Staples" song. Nevertheless the kids were excited to go back. New teachers, new friends, and apparently a cute "new" girl to the school that my son has noticed. LOL. Ahhh a new year of school. Here's to the best so far! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shields R Us: Sweet Child O Mine
http://shieldsrus.blogspot.com/2010/09/sweet-child-o-mine.html
Saturday, September 4, 2010. Sweet Child O Mine. Just over a week ago, our bishop had asked us in church to pray for a family in our ward that had a baby girl that has some health issues. (You can follow their blog at justinandleah.blogspot.com. My son barely ever listens at church, that we know of anyway, so I was very much taken back over the next part of my story. Oh, I almost forgot. Forgot to set my alarm. Why are you setting your alarm, it's still summer? To pray for the Gibb baby. Just an average ...
