Anyway I ended up with the Black Filco Majestouch with Blue Cherry switches (the clicky version) and it's a dream to type on. If you are using a rubber dome based keyboard I suggest you look at some better quality options, they are harder to find and much more expensive but they are worth every penny. I have restarted work on a new prototype. I started basically from scratch rewriting the basic SDL/OpenGL code. The main reason for the restart was that the old prototype had major problems on linux. This was because some of my code was leaking memory and other bad stuff. Too much Java not enough C recently. I'm also going to start posting on other games related activities rather than just my development work, this should make for more posts, hopefully. Subscribe to comments on this post ).

There have been a couple of things that were annoying me with my old case (an Antec P180) for my main computer:. The door which hides the drive bays broke off one day. My latest video card (GTX 275) only just fits and I had to move the hard drives around to get that to happen. It's small on space and a pain to work in whenever I change something in it. So I eventually got around to getting a new one:. Moving to a new black case. It's a SilverStone Fortress FT02B and I would recommend it. Go to top ↑.

Prototype, Physics, JBullet. I'm attempting to add physics into my prototype using the JBullet library. I'm having some issues with this currently. There is a lack of starting documentation for the library but I'm starting to get the idea of how it works. It seems however that my cubes are not being placed correctly in the physics world. Prototype, Physics, JBullet. I'm attempting to add physics into my prototype using the JBullet library. I'm having some issues with this currently. There is a lack of starting documentation for the library but I'm starting to get the idea of how it works. It seems however that my cubes are not being placed correctly in the physics world. I tried my hand at modelling today. I installed Blender and gave it a go. With a crash course from fleeky I managed to create a robot. Robot made in Blender. Google AI Challenge – Tron. This is a bit of a core dump of a post, hopefully I'll get time to come back and format it into something more readable soon. You can see how I went here. I came 189th overall and 5th out of the Australian entries and 2nd out of the 4 guys at my workplace. I had to restart a couple of times during the competition.
