Tuesday, December 15, 2009. I was recently informed that the name for these little millinery pieces is fascinator. All of my fascinators start with either a sinamay or buckram base. That i cut using a small cup for my pattern,. And then wire to keep their shape and structure. I then hand sew the feathers and other objects to the base using a strong silamide thread,.
