AGen is an application in the GEpipe which calculates total breeding values or aggregate genotypes. Accordingly, it requires the PEST parameter file, data and pedigree and the output file. The economic weights are optained from the PEST paramter file, where they are to be specified by the user. Monetary economic weights per unit of the trait. Percentage weights per genetic standard deviation. Relativation of aggregate genotypes. Definition sets of animals for specific aggregate genotypes.

Installation | QS@Breeding

As state above, an appliance is a virtual computer, that runs on another computer (so called host) without touching the host’s installation. The appliance is driven by some virtualization software, which has to be installed before. Here we will present VirtualBox as on option freely available. To cover also the various operating systems, the installation with VirtualBox will be discribed under MS Windows OS. Installation of VirtualBox is straight forward when you follow the instructions on the web page.

The QS@Breeding appliance is mainly an encapsulated complete service with the main interface via the qs-at-breeding webpage. Before first usage a configuration script has to be started. 1st: Start appliance via Virtualbox. Select the first entry with.
