On April 10, 2014. I’m very sorry to say that this will be the last post ever on freeindiegam.es. When I started this site after GDC in 2012, it was out of frustration – I believed that the culture and discussion around indie games was changing, and that the awesome, personal, and usually free work that had influenced me was being left out and forgotten. I wanted to change that, and I think, thanks to the help of my wonderful co-curators, we did that, for a while. Our best of 2012 lists]. Make if you can...

I will do this using Capitalism. David Ryland Scott Robinson. Sin is a branch of geography. Nov 16th, 2012, 07:59 pm. Big changes are afoot. I've moved to Singapore— seemingly for the next year. Taking advantage of the locale, I've visiting the nearby countries. I'm up to three Chinese visas now. So, that's something. But there's close to no live music scene here. And it's killing me. I have been in a Strange Loop. Posted by s.f. On October 29, 2010. About three months ago while browsing Proggit, I came across a thread titled simply “This is an awesome conference”. Idly browsing the speaker list, I stopped dead at the first two. I still haven’t gotten around to working through SICP. But I’ve wanted to hear Guy Steele talk ever since reading “Growing a Language”. Posted by s.f. On June 11, 2009. A few months ago. Treetop is a Ruby library for writing Parsing expression grammars. Two parts vodka, one part vermouth, and a splash of blood cancer. Allogeneic stem cell transplant. Shut the Door and Have a Seat. By Tom on March 9th, 2011. The news, friends, is not good. My spleen is bigger, but not as big as last time. Some lymph nodes are bigger, but not as large or as widespread as last time. In addition, there may be some water around my heart. I’ll be getting that checked out further to see how that will impact treatment. From → Diagnostic Phase. Tom, I just hate hearing this!

Two parts vodka, one part vermouth, and a splash of blood cancer. Getting Back on the Medical Horse. By Tom on March 7th, 2011. I’ve had a variety of physical complaints for a long time, most of which I’d mentally marked as long-term side effects of the chemo and radiation and transplant and so on. But recently I’ve started to have very little saliva most of the time. This had been accompanied by the also-not-mouthwatering red dots. Something is causing my blood to be real deficient, but we don’t h...

Thursday, February 28, 2008. Kylan's Blog] Honeymoon Tickets. A couple of days ago, Kristen and I purchased the airplane tickets for our honeymoon. Were flying down to Tampa, Florida for a week, starting from St. Louis and returning to Spokane. Now we just have to figure out what to do while were there. It will probably involve venturing down to Naples, and maybe even Key West. Well have to see. Kylan's Blog] Almost Through. Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Kylan's Blog] No Rest for the Weary. Two parts vodka, one part vermouth, and a splash of blood cancer. By Tom on July 22nd, 2009. Yesterday I walked on my own power from the 4th floor observation rooms to the 5th floor Oncology Infusion Services department. When we got to the desk the friendly staff announced “you must be Tom Music! 8221; My reputation (and my appointment) preceeded me.
