Water, sand and mud have the ability to wreck bearings, bushes and joints in a matter of minutes. And dust can damage engines and cause accidents. Previous experience has proven that it is cheaper to have a professional carry out a major service and repairs than have them done in Cape York. Flying in parts costs time and Money! To book a lift from Cairns airport. Mossman is approx. 1.5 hrs drive from Cairns. This tour will be a mixture of accommodation and camping. Accommodation will range from motel rooms to resort style rooms. We prefer 5 billion star camping to allow you to have the ‘real Cape York experience’. Spare goggles and lense.

PLACES TO RIDE and DRIVE. The AORVA recommends always wearing an appropriate helmet for all ATV and SSV operators and passengers. Australian Standard AS1698 helmets are best. Good examples of other Personal Protective Equipment include long sleeve shirts and pants, good protective eye wear, gloves and sturdy enclosed footwear that covers to above the ankle.
