Wednesday, February 27, 2008. This is a photo of a rice field in Japan. As far as I know, the red flower borders are just that, borders. There's a bit of a legend about these red flowers which are strangely. Considered bad luck, though they are found around harvest time in Japanese rice fields everywhere. February 27, 2008 at 8:23 AM.
