May 1, 2011. The first modern version of a fingerprint database was created in 1892 in Argentina, and by use of fingerprints they were able to have a murderer confess to her murders. Fingerprints were then used extensively by being imprinted on paper which is still used today in some places. My hope is that after reading this post you will never make the same mistake. So basically if the scan is taken at a very short distance and if ...

Feb 28, 2011. Your Private Info For Sale. This post relates back to an older post of mine Fingerprint For Beer. If the pubs are taking your personal information and biometrics and storing it in a database without regulations what is to stop them from doing what is happening in Moscow with databases being sold like music CD's? Addressing the science in books, movies, and on T.V. As I mentioned in the very beginning of this blog, this blog is done as a requirement for my communicating science class. And, as I'm not an avid participator, more of a lurker, of the online community, any of them, I am not continuing the blog. I'm graduating and as such I want to enjoy doing nothing. I can't remember what that feels like and look forward to growing bored of it. Good luck to my readers! Blog Evaluation the Third. What an Odd Couple.
