http://re-generations.blogspot.com/2010/01/millennials-and-meds.html
Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Check out this study on high school/college students and depression. It found five times as many high school and college students are dealing with anxiety and other mental health issues as youth of the same age who were studied in the Great Depression era. Fascinating stuff. and an area I've been wanting to study more. Http:/ http/ www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/11/AR2010011100261.html. OffExperts say such high expectations are a recipe for disappointment.

Thursday, July 3, 2008. A little less talk a lot more listen. 8220;What do you remember most about growing up? Their timeworn hands raised one after another. 8220;World War II….” “The Great Depression…” "Wearing hand-me-downs." “My family…”. I listened intently as the seniors at First Baptist Church recounted the life-altering events that shaped their views of the world. I quickly realized the guest speaker, aka me, needed to talk less and listen more. Posted by Jessica Stollings. Carrie is the founder o...

Alan Reifman's Emerging Adulthood Page: Texas Tech University's "Before I Graduate" Chalkboard
http://emergingadulthood.blogspot.com/2014/08/texas-tech-universitys-before-i.html
Alan Reifman's Emerging Adulthood Page. Friday, August 22, 2014. Texas Tech University's "Before I Graduate" Chalkboard. Some of the statements reflect academic self-betterment ("I want to learn 3 languages"), whereas others are more whimsical ("Marry Kingsbury," in reference to Texas Tech's heart-throb football coach. One person writes, "I want to be a billionaire," unlikely in general, but especially before. Jeff Arnett writes in one of his books. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I recently came acr...

Alan Reifman's Emerging Adulthood Page. Saturday, November 20, 2010. Book Review: Urban Tribes. I recently finished reading Ethan Watters's 2003 book Urban Tribes: Are Friends the New Family. I had known about the book for several years and, in retrospect, I wished I had read it earlier, as I found it extremely relevant to the study of Emerging Adulthood. The book grew out of a 2001 New York Times. One last thing I wanted to mention is that Watters reviews several areas of academic research and how they ...

THOUSANDS OF FREE BLOGGER TEMPLATES . He who knows no fear can know no guilt. Thursday, October 30, 2008. When showering, do you start the water and then get in or get in then start the water? Hmmm I get in then start the water. Do you read the labels on the shampoo bottle? I don’t. Hehe. I take really quick showers in the morning and reading the shampoo label takes up much time. Do you moan in the shower like the people on the herbal essence commercial? LOL Hell no. I sing, though. How old do you look?

http://maplesstraveler.blogspot.com/2010/02/book-thing-of-baltimore.html
An exploration of past, present, and future travels from a restless 20-something! Tuesday, February 16, 2010. The Book Thing of Baltimore. Uh, so what is the big deal if we go to a book store? Well, The Book Thing happens not to charge anything for any of its books. They are mostly used, but many are in fine condition, and you can take as many as you like. Uh oh! This particular visit, we wound up with 45. (Six of those were Eric's.). They believe. It's still fun, so I took it! This is an independently p...
