Living Out LOUD: Bothersome Booby
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2010/03/bothersome-booby.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. I have a bothersome right booby. It hasn’t always been bothersome, in fact both boobies where quite useful through almost six continuous years of breastfeeding. I often referred to myself as a human Häagen Dazs machine. Neither Olivia nor Yannick took to a bottle and would wait for hours to be fed straight from the source. I had the biopsy on Tuesday afternoon and by Friday afternoon; I was calling my OB/GYN looking for the tes...

Living Out LOUD: Haunted
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2010/02/haunted.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Thursday, February 25, 2010. I finished reading Wench. About 48 hours ago and the story is haunting me. It’s Perkins-Valdez first novel and let me tell you, she totally nails this little gem of historical fiction. I’ve read plenty of slave narratives, and I guess until I read Wench. Posted by Mango Mama. Jimmy Greene is from Xenia. His whole family is very light skinned. I wonder what stories exist in his family tree? August 14, 2010 at 11:00 PM.

Living Out LOUD: May 2009
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Mrs Diggs Lemon Bars. It seems like I’ve been writing about desserts a lot lately, but a few weeks ago I was given a recipe I’ve been trying to get my hands on for over 20 years. The recipe is for Mrs. Diggs lemon bars. Judy proudly presented me with the recipe the morning of Mother’s Day. It was such a wonderful surprise. Mrs Diggs Lemon Bars. 1 cup of flour. 1/3 cup of sifted confectionary sugar. 1 cup of granulated sugar.

Living Out LOUD: A Teachable Moment
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2009/07/teachable-moment.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Monday, July 27, 2009. We had a “teachable moment” in the Mango household on Friday. The back-story is that the kids’ summer camp hosted a talent show on Friday, which culminated its annual “Spirit Week” activities. Both Olivia and Yannick partnered with a couple of kids in their respective groups, worked out some original choreography and auditioned and won a spot in the talent show. Olivia’s group opened the talent show and they put it DOWN! Started...

Living Out LOUD: March 2010
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Saturday, March 13, 2010. Earlier this afternoon I hosted my book club meeting and for dessert, I tried a new and really easy recipe for Molten Chocolate Cake. It’s such an easy recipe and sinfully good! 4 squares Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate. 1 cup powdered sugar. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Butter four ramekins. Place on baking sheet. I doubled the recipe and made 8 mini cakes. Enjoy! Posted by Mango Mama. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. I have a bothersome...

Living Out LOUD: Finally!
http://livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com/2010/01/finally.html
Getting the musings out of my head and onto the page. Sunday, January 10, 2010. It was less than a year ago Yannick announced he wanted dreadlocks like his daddy and sister. I gave him the same speech I gave Olivia years ago when she made the same pronouncement, “It’s a huge commitment, you’ll need lots of patience while it grows long enough to twis. T and once it’s ready to twist I don’t want to hear any complaints about how long it takes to groom- - -o.k? Posted by Mango Mama. I'm a married, mama of tw...
