Writing for Yourself or Others - spaceintheway. Writing for Yourself or Others. Feb 26th, 2014 02:49 pm. Find your reader and write for them" seems to be a common theme in writing advice. Pick someone or a few someones- a friend, a relative, a hypothetical housewife in Peoria, whatever. "Don't write for yourself," the advice goes, "write for them.". This is the path I've taken as well. It's not that I don't think of other readers, it's that thinking of what other readers want as I'm writing tends to ...

Medical Mysteries - spaceintheway
http://spaceintheway.livejournal.com/17812.html
Medical Mysteries - spaceintheway. Apr 2nd, 2014 01:21 am. I love mysteries. I love being challenged by a difficult puzzle, figuring out how the pieces fit together, discovering the final picture that the pieces reveal. I really don't enjoy being the puzzle, being the medical mystery I have to hope my doctor will figure out. Soon, hopefully. 2014-04-02 12:54 pm (UTC). Sending good thoughts and hopes that you discover the truth soon! 2014-04-03 02:15 am (UTC). See the comment below. Oh, no fun at all!

Amazingly, I'm still at it - spaceintheway. Amazingly, I'm still at it. Dec 12th, 2014 07:19 pm. Still writing, I mean. This has been a very rough year in a lot of ways so it amazes me that Ive managed to accomplish anything, much less finished one novel and started on another. But I did! 2014-12-13 02:24 am (UTC). And, congratulations, too, of course. What are you working on now? It's so good to see you post. 2014-12-13 02:50 am (UTC). Thank you, it's good to have the brain space to step out a bit.

The Year Moves Quickly. The Children Are Restless. May 31st, 2015 at 11:41 AM. 5 comments Leave a comment. May 31st, 2015 07:54 pm (UTC). One of my coworkers lost two of his dogs this year to old age. He seemed ready to adopt again just as I happened to see a gorgeous lab/hound mix come into the shelter. "J," I said, "You must go see this dog! I just knew. And he adopted her on Saturday! If I could afford to have a fence put up, I feel sure I'd be that much closer to having a pup myself. :).

Sticking Point - spaceintheway
http://spaceintheway.livejournal.com/19082.html
Sticking Point - spaceintheway. May 14th, 2014 01:08 pm. One thing I have learned about being stuck in my writing is that the sticking point is often not where I think it is. The revelation, a major point of character development, skipped because it was boring? Its going to hurt to write the scene this way. which probably means Im on the right track. 2014-05-14 08:34 pm (UTC). Isn't it interesting how we writers balk at what really needs to be written? 2014-05-14 09:17 pm (UTC).

Now with seven kinds of ashlyn! There will be stuff here when I feel like putting stuff here. So my proper-finger-positions typing speed is something like 55 cpm. This does not take into consideration my many many errors. I'm a little curious as to what my old-finger-positions typing speed is. I might try it out after I'm done with the day's lesson. I just did the phrase mode for the first time. My current (highest) typing speed is 73 characters per minute. - -;. 12th-Jul-2008 07:50 pm (UTC).

Life of a Student. Certainly the life of someone. Jan 12th, 2013 at 6:57 PM. I saw TANGLED the other day, a Disney story about Repunzel. I hadnt planned on watching it, it was just sort of on, and I was curious. Unexpectedly, I really liked it. I thought it was a great story about a girl discovering her identity and a great heros journey type of story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4 comments Leave a comment.
