Saturday, January 1, 2011. There has to be something very close to perfect in the number 1-1-11! Another 365 days lie before us, fresh, unspoiled, ready to be written on like the crisp pages of an empty journal. In order to make that visit, Jon had to stay home with the 3 little ones in our care. When I left the house, it was a chaotic mess of toys and toy parts from one end to the other. I truly was wondering whether I could walk out of that mess and leave it for later times. 14 mile bike hike.

Thursday, September 1, 2011. On the night that Bethany met Brad, I had the strangest thing happen to me. Bethany had gone to her very good friend, Erin's wedding. She participated in the wedding by doing a reading. That same evening, Jon and I went out to dinner in Wexford. As we were coming home across the Red Belt, a beautiful rainbow came into view, high in the sky. The odd thing was, it was a bright sunny day with not a drop of rain. Where did that come from? What do you think? A message from God?
