Queensland 2010

Diary of our July 2010 Queensland Holiday. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. We were again up ready to depart by 6.00am. There was further wet weather driving from Hay across the Hay Plain to Wyalong, where we again fuelled up for the rest of the drive home. We arrived in Mildura just before 9.00am and topped up with fuel. We were happy to arrive safe and sound at home just before lunch time. Our Queensland trip had come to an end. Roll on October when we head off to Tasmania. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. We finally ...

Queensland 2010: 9 July 2010

http://www.queensland2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/07/9-july-2010.html

Diary of our July 2010 Queensland Holiday. Friday, July 9, 2010. This morning we visited Old Petrie Village and the nearby Museum. The village has around a dozen restored homes and stores which are being used as shops. oday was not a market day so all the shops were very quiet. We then proceeded onto the Seaview Museum on Bribie Island. Both museums were very well presented and provided good information on the history of the area. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Queensland 2010: 5 July 2010

http://www.queensland2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/05/5-july-2010.html

Diary of our July 2010 Queensland Holiday. Monday, July 5, 2010. Once again we were up early and packed by 8.00am. We ordered Bacon and Egg McMuffin meal deals from McDonalds for breakfast and ate breakfast in a park on the outskirts of town. The drive from Moree to Goondawindi was very flat and was as bad as driving across the Hay Plains. The road out of Toowomba was very steep for a few kilometres, after which the highway beckoned and we pulled over into a little park where we ate our pies.

Tasmania 2010: St Helens to Launceston

http://tasmania2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/10/st-helens-to-launceston.html

Diary of our October 2010 Tasmanian Holiday. St Helens to Launceston. After experiencing our best nights sleep for the holiday, we departed St Helens around 9.00am for Launceston. Our first stop was St Columbia Falls. The falls are visible as a "drive by" without having to take the walk to the base of the falls if that is not your inclanation. Having driven for what seemed hours we came to a town by the name of Derby and had another toilet break. We learnt that the population of Derby would increase ...

http://tasmania2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/10/launceston-to-devenport.html

Diary of our October 2010 Tasmanian Holiday. Today would be our last day in Tasmania. As the drive to Devenport was the shortest day drive of our holidays we tried to leave later than usual, but it seems our body clock decided we must be ready and on the road by 8.30am. We were at least assured of getting to Melbourne and once there, not knowing whether the Pajero would start or not! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). St Helens to Launceston. Next stop was Sea Lake where we bought some sandwiches for lunch and fuelled up again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hobart to Port Arthur.

Tasmania 2010: Melbourne on Thursday

http://tasmania2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/10/melbourne-on-thursday.html

Diary of our October 2010 Tasmanian Holiday. The trip back on the Spirit of Tasmania was not as smooth as the trip to Tasmania. Whilst we slept on and off, when we got up around 5.30am we both felt as if we had been on the grog the night before as we both had headaches! We finally got the call that we could return to our vehicles and disembark. The $64 million question was "Would the Pajero start? About 250 metres down the round was another Auto Electrician, who was there, and we asked if he could check ...

Tasmania 2010: Melbourne on Sunday

http://tasmania2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/10/melbourne-on-sunday.html

Diary of our October 2010 Tasmanian Holiday. Having watch the Grand Final and witnessing a very comprehensive victory by Collingwood, we retired quite early. With daylight saving commencing today, we were all awake and ready to move on by 8.30am. By 600pm we were on board and settled into our cabin for the journey over. We had a meal at the "Captain's Table" restaurant on board and were very surprised with the quality of the food on offer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). St Helens to Launceston.

Tasmania 2010: Getting to Melbourne

http://tasmania2010-jardry.blogspot.com/2010/10/getting-to-melbourne.html

Diary of our October 2010 Tasmanian Holiday. The day finally arrived - we're going to Tasmania! Last week's drawn AFL Grand Final meant we had to come to some concensus as to what time we left Adelaide for the drive over to Melbourne. Do we leave late Friday night and get to Melbourne in plenty of time to book-in and then watch the Grand Final, or do we leave early Saturday morning and get to Melbourne in time to watch the second half of the Grand Final.
