July 7, 2016. I have asked many times, what the hell is wrong with us? It’s not fair. It never will be. How do I come to terms with this? How do I find peace with this? How do any of us who have targets on us? All of those lives listed at the top of this post, and the countless others whose names do not appear, had to be afraid. December 20, 2014. I miss the cobbled path that sluggishly unrolled itself up to the front door of the small rural home my family lived in. Dad had always said he would fix it – flatten it out and trim back the grasses and weeds that had twisted and tangled their ways between the crumpled stones. I wish I had a cobbled path of my own. I wish I knew if I had a sister…or brother…. I wish I knew what houses in rural Korea really look like. I think I might have liked squid if I never left home. I miss my room.
