Servant Hands: August 2006

Reflections on the Word, the work, and daily ministry from a Salvation Army Officer's point of view. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Ministry vs. Career (what's your perspective). I've heard many people refer to their role as an officer by many different names. Pastor (aren't we much more than that) or Administrator (may God forgive us) are 2 common descriptions of the calling we have received. I guess what it boils down to is this: What shape do you see your role as an Army officer taking? DO I SMELL SMOKE?

Reflections on the Word, the work, and daily ministry from a Salvation Army Officer's point of view. Tuesday, August 30, 2005. At the Rochester Corps we have adapted the word S.E.E.D.S to help us fulfill the mission of The Salvation Army in our community:. S- Seek. We believe that God wants all of us to seek out the hurting, the lonely, and those who need our assistance. This includes the poor, the elderly, the single parent, the troubled teenager, and many others in our community. D-Disciple. Our co...

A day in the life...TSA Officership: change the script and crush the box
http://salarmyofficership.blogspot.com/2006/10/change-script-and-crush-box.html
A day in the life.TSA Officership. Life in The Salvation Army.the ups, the downs.the funny and the serious. I have a ton of stories and I'm sure you do as well. Change the script and crush the box. I wanted to comment directly on his blog, but he doesn't allow it.he knows he'd get bombarded (both good and bad). So if you know him, ask him to read my blog! I love the concept of being outside the box and changing the script, but many times it seems like we are powerless to do so. What are your thoughts?

1 John 4:19 "We love because He first loved us! Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth. Would care to know my name. Would care to feel my hurt. Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star. Would choose to light the way. For my ever wandering heart. Not because of who I am. But because of what You've done. Not because of what I've done. But because of who You're. I am a flower quickly fading. Here today and gone tomorrow. A wave tossed in the ocean. A vapor in the wind. When It...

1 John 4:19 "We love because He first loved us! Yo le alabaré Señor. Saturday, April 30, 2005. Yo le alabaré Señor. O, It’s amazing what praising can do, Amen? But are we praising Him enough to be worthy of such love. It’s amazing to read the Psalms and realize the way that David praises God. David in almost every chapter is praising the God of heaven of earth in a way that I think we should learn from. Be confident and praise your God. Psalm 9:1-2 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;. The Way t...

Thoughts on Life: August 2007
http://chellesthoughtsonlife.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 16 August 2007. Laughter's good for the soul! I had a good belly laugh last night. A friend of mine was being really silly, and they just kept on and it made me laugh, smile and in all likelihood I released some of that stress that we all carry as a result of the pressures of daily life. I guess most of my entries are pretty serious, contemplative and in some cases quite heavy. Sunday, 5 August 2007. The power of rainbows. I've been pretty busy lately. Travelling with work and also just kee...

Monday, 24 March 2008. Facebook, MySpace and Blogger . It's been quite some time since my last post . but I've got a good excuse! Has now been taking my allocated 'online' time and after keeping MySpace. Up to date, there's just no time for Blogger! This year has already been full with work trips to Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and country Victoria . all good and certainly keeps me busy! The next few weeks will see me in Hobart, Adelaide and possibly Brisbane again! How was your Easter? Http:/ quest...
