One stitch at a time….eventually. Meet our newest kitteh, MoMo. We welcomed her to our home in early November of 2010. This little kitteh has got spunk like no other! She came from a colony of stray cats in my friend’s neighborhood and I feel like we are constantly trying to tame a wild beast. She gets into everything and claims it as her own! Imagine how suprised I was when I came across this:. Yep, those darn cute ice cream cozies are now used and abused by MoMo! Project Restyle I’m doing this!

One stitch at a time….eventually. Happy Birthday to me! I’m a day late on this, but I turned thirty-years-old yesterday! Someone asked how I felt about turning thirty… this question came after she told me about how she cried and cried on her 30th birthday. My answer? I’m happy. I have a husband that adores me, loving and supporting family and family, and two crazy little cats that like to sleep on my side. What is there to complain about? Nothing. I feel incredibly lucky. One stitch at a time….eventually. Lately I’m all about spinning. I haven’t knit anything in a while because I’m obsessed with mastering the drop spindle. I first attempted to spin several many years ago I’m guessing some time in 2007. I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as I had hoped. I kept dropping the spindle and breaking my fibers. I used a vintage size 4 hook. Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring. Round 1: Ch 3, 9 dc in ring. Join with a sl st in top of ch 3. Turn. Round 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around - 20 dc. Join. Fingerless gloves, for me. I don’t know about you, but I enjoy and good pair of fingerless gloves. This city doesn’t get freezing cold, but we do tend to bundle up if the temperature drops below 70 degrees! These were knit in good ol’ Malabrigo Rios – one of my favorite yarns.
