http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2014/10/state-of-beta-is-dead.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Wednesday, October 1, 2014. State of Beta is Dead. Hello everyone. If you’re a regular reader of Beta is Dead I’m sure by now you’ve become concerned by the severe lack of updates, especially based on what I said earlier this year. About possibly quitting the blog business altogether. Or perhaps you didn’t really give a shit and didn’t even notice. Either way now that it’s October (…really? Movie yet so my sanity is relatively intact. List of Panda Reviews. Other Pla...

Beta is Dead: Review: Frozen (2013)
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2013/12/review-frozen-2013.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Monday, December 16, 2013. As far as Disney. 8217;s animated films in the 21st Century go they have been very hit or miss. Since the rise of Pixar. Disney’s solo efforts haven't reached the pinnacle of success they once ruled over. They’ve made good films (usually ones that were really outside the box such as The Emperor’s New Groove. And The Lion King. This movie, like The Little Mermaid. Is based on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. I don’t know why th...

Beta is Dead: October 2014
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Friday, October 31, 2014. Happy Halloween, everybody. As you may well know by now I’m not a huge fan of horror films (like, at all) but I had such a fun time reviewing Evil Dead. Which is based on the 1995 novel Pontypool Changes Everything. Who also wrote the screenplay). It’s a zombie flick…kind of. The fact is that the film is part of the zombie genre of horror but plays itself differently from the norm. Directed by Bruce McDonald. Full review after the jump.

Beta is Dead: Mini-Reviews: Sin City - A Dame to Kill For, The Maze Runner
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2014/10/mini-reviews-sin-city-dame-to-kill-for.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Saturday, October 25, 2014. Mini-Reviews: Sin City - A Dame to Kill For, The Maze Runner. Anyway today we’ll be looking at two film adaptations, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. And The Maze Runner. Sin City 2 is the long promised sequel to the 2005 film and both movies are (mostly) based on the comic of the same name by Frank Miller. Now I’m not sure what the shit took so long for this movie to get made but here’s a list of movies Robert Rodriguez. Director(s): Robert ...

Beta is Dead: Kickstarter Weekends: Like Father, Like Daughter; Zombie ApocalyOOPS!
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2014/10/kickstarter-weekends-like-father-like.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Saturday, October 11, 2014. Kickstarter Weekends: Like Father, Like Daughter; Zombie ApocalyOOPS! By my calculations (i.e. I looked at the archives) it’s been about eight months since the last Kickstarter Weekend. Aside from the obvious glitches this summer with me working on my novel I think the major reason for this has been that I haven’t been visiting Kickstarter. A steam punk hand drawn animated short film starring a strong female lead character (! Were using In...

Beta is Dead: Review: Dredd
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2012/09/review-dredd.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Friday, September 28, 2012. Today is my birthday, from your point of view. I’m actually speaking to you from the past because I don’t want to work on my special day. I was thinking about throwing up a self-indulgent fluff piece but unfortunately I went to go see Dredd. This past Sunday and now I need to talk about it. Dredd is Hollywood’s second attempt at making a movie based on Judge Dredd. Full review after the jump. F* k the Police. I AM THE LAW. They find themse...

Beta is Dead: January 2015
http://betaisdead.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Back and Moderately Better Than Ever! Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Five Year Anniversary is Dead. Despite a severe lack of updates I’ve somehow made it to Beta is Dead’s fifth anniversary. BALLOONS! Balloons make everything better. But there’s no use in feeling down about it. Instead on dwelling on a lousy year it’s best to plan for the next one and that’s what I aim to do! I actually had a pretty good year, just not for this blog). But that may or may not be the case this year. Jupiter Ascending. Five Y...
