Tuesday, January 7, 2014. A trip to this area just wouldn't be complete without seeing some big lizards - i.e. alligators. The visit was well worth the $2 entrance fee. And a tortoise … which the worker said was either 80 years old or 80 pounds. Can't remember which. Maybe both. So we decided to gather our thoughts and keep them in a notebook. We always hand out food and water to all the homeless people and beggars at all the stop lights. Saturday, May 24, 2014. Lia and Val capped off their semester of lessons with a recital. It was a nice recital as the fourteen pianists ranged in ages from eight to sixteen. Monday, May 27, 2013. Finally back in the States, Val and Lia give their best effort . but jetlag soon wins out. I love that Val - even as she snoozes - is still holding her book up. Monday, April 29, 2013. We have books . LOTS of books. In preparation for our return Stateside, the girls are busy sorting which to sell, give away or keep - not an easy task. As a sidenote, Lia and Val are lookin' good as they wear our family's Big Ten colors. Monday, April 15, 2013. We saw this beauty near our place. Meg immediately called it the "roly-poly car."
