One foot in Seattle, one toe in a Pacific Seacraft 37. Where will that toe go? Saturday, August 16, 2014. It seems that I've mentioned Niue twice now, but haven't really blogged about my stay there. This is that post. Ok Back to Niue. There are great opportunities to stretch your legs here. You can easily rent bicycles, motorcycles or cars - I opted for a bicycle. The local roads are in good shape and they are often shaded by trees as you pass through forested areas. As you ride along the coa...The islan...

K-Dog Studios: Jungle Rock
http://kdogstudios.blogspot.com/2015/07/jungle-rock.html
It started with a dog. Then another. Then a kid. Then another. Thursday, July 2, 2015. K's end of year school play was Jungle Rock. It was a cute story about a group of lions, hippos and monkey's who all lived peacefully in the jungle. But once the lumberjacks started cutting down trees, the jungle started getting smaller, more crowded and chaos ensued. The animals needed to choose a leader to keep the peace and they chose Eddie, the one animal who was part hippo, part monkey and part lion. Basel, Day 2.

It started with a dog. Then another. Then a kid. Then another. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Wisely Gardens is a Royal Botanical Garden about 30 min. southwest of London. Each February and March the large glasshouse on the property is transformed into a tropical garden overrun with butterflies of all shapes and sizes. Each of the kids had a species pamphlet and we went around the glasshouse trying to identify as many butterflies as we could. We were particularly drawn to the colorful ones:. I've never like...

It started with a dog. Then another. Then a kid. Then another. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Since we spent a week in Switzerland before the holidays we decided not to go anywhere between Christmas and New Years. Our plan was to just spend time at home and check out some of the sights around London. It was a ton of fun and some really good family bonding time. I've never seen the kids get along so well. On other days we had fun exploring new parts of London including. We ate lunch at a nearby pub and the...

Well she kept at it (and received some technique help from Anna when we were in NY) and this weekend finally mastered it. Ta-daaaa. She was quite excited and proud of herself! One foot in Seattle, one toe in a Pacific Seacraft 37. Where will that toe go? Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The passage went well. This is something most people say as a way of getting the "how's it going? Question out of the way. Ask most cruisers "How did your passage go? Just after they finished, and most will say "it went really well! May 28, 2015 at 9:56 AM. Life is good indeed. Good of you to share a bit of reality into the ideal dream! It started with a dog. Then another. Then a kid. Then another. Sunday, August 31, 2014. We made another trip to the Lavender Farm this year. It was a little late in the season for a visit so the colors of the flowers were a bit dull and less fragrant but it was still a nice walk through the field. K and I had fun finding snails. The kids are sick of me taking pictures of them so I had to bribe them with coins. Hopefully this trend does not continue! Posted by k-dog studios. Saturday, August 30, 2014.

One foot in Seattle, one toe in a Pacific Seacraft 37. Where will that toe go? Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Tonga Part 2 and onward. I was preparing to leave a little over a week ago, but watching the weather systems develop I didnt like the look of the weather window that was opening, and so skipped that one and have been waiting to see what the next one looked like. I like the look of this next weather window, and will make the final call on it tomorrow morning to either stay or go. Watts = Volts x Amps.
