Quilliance … a new chapter. Quilling by Philippa Reid. Children are the future. Tags: Culture on the Common. Who couldn’t wait to create their first quilled flowers. Some of them were as young as four years old. It never ceases to impress me how quickly young children can grasp the basics and see the potential of creating art through the imaginative assembly of quilled shapes … and what firm ideas they have in terms of colours and shapes which quickly supersede any pre-planned project I have intend...

In my case, however, it’s always been a passion for experimentation that drives me forward in my quilling. So experimentation is most definitely the mother of invention for me! I used this technique recently in another piece, too, in an attempt to create something that looks a bit like seaweed! Jun 04, 2015. Love these, Philippa! Jun 04, 2015. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Quilliance … a new chapter. Quilling by Philippa Reid. Musings of a magazine editor. Such is the power of social media that I seem to be picking up new ‘Followers’ of my blog and ‘Likers’ of my Facebook page at an amazing rate, despite the fact that I haven’t actually published any new material on either of them for ages! So, finally, I am ready to break the silence and re-connect with all my wonderful online friends again. But, do you know what? The truth is, I’ve gone and done it again! I must be mad!
Party time! | Quilliance ... a new chapter

Quilliance … a new chapter. Quilling by Philippa Reid. It’s always a delight to share the joys of quilling with children, so I was thrilled to be asked recently to stage a ‘quilling party’ to help celebrate the 9th birthday of a very talented young lady of my acquaintance named Celia. Regular readers of my blog may recall that Celia was my ‘star pupil’ at Hartley Wintney’s Culture On The Common event. I’m pleased to say that Celia loved my design. At the party, I showed the girls my background, and then ...

http://luluquilling.blogspot.com/2014/06/quilling-and-scrapbooking-little.html
The right brain training ground of a scientist-to-be, where experiments on filigree begin. What Materials and Tools to start with? Friday, June 20, 2014. Quilling and scrapbooking a little.
