Assembly is well under way. I think if I had applied myself (and not used a rotary cutter with 2 blades in it, how is that much stuupidity even possible? I would have spent about one 1 planning fabric and cutting. I'm now about 90 minutes into assembly. So, total current tally: 2,5 hours - it may well be a Quilt in a Day. New project: a Swoon baby quilt. First Finish of the year: iPad case. Just in time for my mum's 75th birthday - my first iPad case following this tutorial. Dr Seuss Kiddie door pockets.

Bloggers' Quilt Festival: Almondesque. Following a cheeky comment how she unfortunately had all her children before I started making (baby) quilts, I decided to make this quilt for two of our closest friends as a homewarming gift. They had just moved into a Bauhaus inspired new home and because of their love of New England and Edward Hopper, blue stuck itself to my mind in terms of over-riding colour. This is the result: I am really pleased. It was inspired by this photo on the left:. Lotsa fun to make!

Getting back onto the horse. Montag, 6. August 2012. Vor meinem Kurs in Motzen habe ich noch zwei schöne Tage bei Edel und Peter verbracht. Samstags bin ich angekommen, gerade rechtzeitig zum Mittagessen und was gab es? Tuesday, April 4. I am such a slacker the weeks just keep racing by and I never seem to get to blog. As part of the probation and performance requirements, I had to achieve 95% accuracy and maintain it for 2 weeks. This little requirement had been freaking me out, but I have (miraculously! Managed to achieve this already, which has been a great confidence boost. Now I just have to work on the other requirements like, playing well with others and stuff. I think I’ll be OK.
