Friday, August 5, 2011. I've been spending a lot of time with an old friend, Heat-n-Bond. I got the idea {from several blogs} to make a fabric map of the US. The whole process was a major pain. I didn't realize how much I love the land of the setting sun until I had to cut out all those tiny eastern states. So how do you create this fabrilicious piece of geography art? If you decide to tackle this project, be prepared to feel extremely frustrated. Now she has a craft corner in my woman cave! Hello, My Na...

Thursday, June 25, 2009. With the craze of nesting inflicting my oh-so-impregnated state, I have completed two projects. Although only one benefits the nursery. The first: finally covering three pillow forms that have been taking up space in my fabric bin. More than six months ago, I bought some sale fabric from one of Fabric Depot's outside. Step 1: Add 1" to the measurements of the pillow form. Step 2: Cut fabric. Step 3: Sew the two fabrics together. Step 1: Remove lampshade from the base. Step 4: Usi...

Thursday, March 10, 2011. I have finally dug into the depths of my fabric scraps. Thanks to great blog tutorials, I have been making little items to organize my sewing room and Piper's fun stuff. "The Long Thread" blog has an adorable kid's drawing case tutorial. That I thought would be perfect for Piper's art supplies. I added a stitched nameplate to the back to personalize it. Posted by Evie Wonder. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Make pillowcase for Piper. Lazy Days of August Shop Hop: Now - Aug 13.

A Little Sparkle, A Little Grit. My Glimmers of Brillaince (haha! I love my typos). Wisdom of My Father. Friday, March 29, 2013. I've now made it through two rounds of chemo. Hey! My head is pretty much bald- I have a couple weeks growth following my 'Beauty Rampage' party, which TOTALLY ROCKED! It was better than the time I got my wisdom teeth out under Valium, Novocaine, and Laughing Gas! And that WAS SO MUCH FUN that I told the oral surgeon he could yank them all out! What is chemo like? Then, all you...

Tuesday, July 19, 2011. It's "Bow Wow Blankie" Time! About a week ago, I finished a small quilt as a gift for Liam's 2nd birthday. Liam is the son of Chris and Jennifer, good friends of mine. I would have posted this earlier, but I wanted to wait until after the quilt had arrived at its final destination in Reston, VA. I've received confirmation that it has been received, and is already being enjoyed, so now I'm able to share my little accomplisment! I used a pattern called "Bow Wow Blankie," by. I'll be...
