Quilter's Academy Adventure
My quest to become a master quilter. Friday, December 31, 2010. Well, I'm not sure if anyone is checking in on my, but I just want you all to know that I haven't given up. I do have lots of plans for 2011, but a big part of them include Quilter's Academy. I don't know if I can finish Volume 1 and 2 before Volume 3 comes out, but I am at least going to finish Volume 1 before the April release date. I see that everyone else that I'm keeping tabs on is still working. Looking good, ladies! Links to this post.

Tips and Info Blog. Do It the Hardest Way. I had the best day today! A group of ladies from Wisconsin and myself had the opportunity to take a whole cloth quilt class from Karen McTavish. I’ve taken classes from Karen before and walked away from class with a better sense of who I am as a quilter, but today was different. Today I walked away with a sense of accomplishment and confidence, today I walked away with a sense of the quilter I have the potential of becoming. This is what I want you to do;. Yeste...

There will be random thoughts about dyeing, marbling and quilting. Hopefully there will be some information that is new to people. Nature is my inspiration and because of that, I reserve the right to publish lots and lots of pictures of animals, birds, butterflies and plants! Friday, August 7, 2015. August RAFA Meeting - Post QBL. This was from the Katie class which was on working in series (which basically seemed to be the same for Cynthia's class! She is a WONDERFUL artist! An Appalachian Bear's Book Den. A blog of all the books that I've read. Please bear in mind that I do not suffer through books that don't engage me or those that aren't well written, so you won't see books rated very low on my 1-10 scale. I read mostly 10's and 9's, with a few 8's thrown in there for good measure! Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Kat, formerly known as QuilterBear. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Friday, June 18, 2010. Here it is already the middle of June. Summer is upon us big time in the 90 degree temperatures that we are having. Since I last posted in March, we have had 7 immediate family birthdays, 2 family anniversaries, 2 extended family weddings and Jeremy's graduation from Army Boot Camp. Jessica has finished her Junior year of High School. And Don has made it to his one year anniversary at his job. Our Grandchildren are growing so fast. Gabriel turned 4 yesterday. Wednesday, November 09, 2005. Busy as a Beaver. And, after all, the deer’s head is NOT attached! Recently, I found what I thought was a meteorite. I was sure that it was going to pay off our house, but alas, as daughter and hubby both informed me it was just a rock called obsidian. Still looking for the meteorite, though. So, stop by and enjoy our nice and cozy fire this winter! And maybe I’ll let you see the antlers and obsidian too! Posted by Quilter Bee at 6:57 AM. Tuesday, October 18, 2005. 1/2 cup i...
