Quilt n Quilt Things

Monday, August 20, 2012. I am amazed that August is here and almost gone. 2012 has been a year of many changes. Some better than others. One of the things I have been thinking about is my blog. I can't believe its been 4 years. In fact my first post was on August 20, 2008. So I think it's fitting that my last post will be on August 20, 2012. I am grateful to those of you who have come faithfully and check on me and my different projects and left kind words of encouragement. I hope you have a great day.

Quilt n Quilt Things: Star Table runner

http://quiltfever3.blogspot.com/2012/07/star-table-runner.html

Monday, July 2, 2012. I found this simple table runner on Sew we Quilt blog and the host post was by "A Bright Corner". She quilted a simple runner and then appliqued stars on with straight line quilting. I will use this for the Relief Society table for the summer. {just can handle an empty table} ;o}. Hope you have a great summer. Very nice tabel runner. If you have any warm weather please send it my way ;-). Take care and have fun! July 2, 2012 at 4:18 AM. Are you in the same ward? In Memory of Tyler.

Quilt n Quilt Things: pinwheel quilt

http://quiltfever3.blogspot.com/2012/07/pinwheel-quilt.html

Monday, July 9, 2012. The other day I got a bee in my bonnet and decided to try something different I purchased the "lil twister" by CS Designs. This is the first and last time I will make this quilt. it was an interesting project. unique process - you make a quilt top and then cut it up and then put it together again. This quilt will go to the "Knight Cancer Institute". Hope you have a great day. I like this one, it sparkles. I think you did a great job picking the fabrics. July 9, 2012 at 2:33 AM.

Quilt n Quilt Things: Bowls w/ Borders Blog Hop

http://quiltfever3.blogspot.com/2012/08/bowls-w-borders-blog-hop.html

Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Bowls w/ Borders Blog Hop. Sew We Quilt is kicking off another blog hop. This time it's "Bowls w/ Borders" using Regina Grewe's paper piecing paper. The Hostess for this hop is Carol. I decided to join in the fun even though paper piecing is not one of my favorite ways of piecing. Regina's pattern went together pretty easy and before you know it I had mine done and ready to post. :o}. I only made a stack of 4 bowls. When you live in an apartment you don't have much space. Great ...

Quilt n Quilt Things: Church bag

http://quiltfever3.blogspot.com/2012/06/church-bag.html

Tuesday, June 19, 2012. The other day I picked up the McCalls Quilting magazine {mar/apr 2010} and within the pages I found a pattern for a new bag. The pattern was for Penny Sturges. I made her "bow tuck" bag so I thought I would give this one a try. and it made up easy enough. It's called "Pick a Posy Bag" and yes it has the instructions for the flower too. and it's easy enough that you can make several different colors and change them as you go. I will be using this for my "Sunday bag".

A condition with no known cure. April 25, 2014. It is so much fun when the real pattern starts emerging (last photo, upper left). Why was I trying to make it so hard? Here is progress so far. 12 x 12–Favorite expressions theme. February 5, 2014. I had a hard time coming up with an expression I could translate into fabric! Karen chose “Chill Out Dude” for her expression. Sharyn depicts an expression her father used instead of curse words! Diane’s favorite expression is one everyone needs to remember.

Mijn andere grote liefde. Welcome to my blog filled with quilt- and some other story's. Make it cosy for yourself, take a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy. Placing a comment is nice though no must. ( I haven't always time to do this by others too). Zaterdag 10 januari 2015.
