Expecting baby number two, while chasing my 20-month-old R and trying to get as much work done as possible before baby arrives is wearing me out more than I thought it would! I did manage to make this little baby blanket for my husband's cousin's new baby girl:. And I finished these this week:. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. New quilt: Red square. I have ...

Confessions of a quilter: January 2009

http://quiltingconfessions.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Confessions of a quilter. Thoughts on my new found quilting hobby. Saturday, January 17, 2009. A slow start to 2009. On Saturday, A took the kids for a few hours (and even better, did all of the grocery shopping! So that I could sew. I worked on the pile of squares I'd cut for the scrappy pinwheel quilt (which I started when Riley was born and doubt I will finish anytime soon). Or rather, I tried to start working on it, but encountered problem after problem. Finally got that problem fixed, and got into m...

Confessions of a quilter. Thoughts on my new found quilting hobby. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Fabric, fabric and more fabric. What a week for fabric! I finally received the fabric I'd ordered to my mom's house! A great big box full - she had managed to cram it all (including the entire Recess fat quarter set) in to a flat rate box and even managed to squeeze in some of my old baby books and a little t-shirt for little R! The Neptune fabrics - one more charm pack to finish off the quilt! Most of it on sale.

Confessions of a quilter: April 2009

http://quiltingconfessions.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Confessions of a quilter. Thoughts on my new found quilting hobby. Thursday, April 30, 2009. My new sewing area! Well, I am hoping that having a new, orderly sewing area will make me a more fastidious sewer (and blogger). I was thankful when I first got my original sewing area, which consisted of an old metal cabinet for my fabrics and a fold-up trestle table in a corner of our laundry room (before that it was the kitchen counter! I just hope I can keep it this way, as it is certainly easier to go in and...

Quilting with Corgis

Sunday, July 14, 2013. Coastal Pearls - String of Pearls Quilt-Along - Part 2. All of the navy accents are now attached. Each pearl again was attached to a long navy strip and then cut apart. And the pearls have been pressed. And trimmed to size. I really enjoy the monotony of the chain piecing. And the piles of blocks it creates. Thursday, July 11, 2013.
