Sunday, April 13, 2014. How I start moon flower seeds. I've had trouble starting moon flower seeds in dirt. I've used this method several times and it works out well for me. I start with 2 larger, thick paper towels, I put the seeds on them. I fold in the corners of the paper towels. The shape ends up being small enough to fit in a quart size zip-lock bag. I add water until the paper towels are moist. I put the bags in the laundry room on the washer or dryer. I love growing these plants. You have to trea...

Debbie's Blog: June 2011

http://quiltingdebbie.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 20, 2011. Better late than never! This is the design wall area above my sewing machine in the sewing room. The art in the top right hand corner was a gift from our grandson. The blocks are some blocks I made that were inspired by blocks made by Tammy Simpson. Someday I hope to have enough blocks for a large bed size quilt. Labels: Design Wall Monday. Monday, June 13, 2011. This is our grandsons UFO. The top is finished with some help from me. I hope to get it quilted soon!

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Jelly Roll Race Quilt. I'll try to get a better picture of the top after I've pressed it. It was fun and I'm sure I'll make another one. Thursday, March 24, 2011. We're adjusting to the changes in our family. I had hoped to be back to quilting in March. I haven't been able to get any quilting done but, I have worked some piecing in. I'm currently working on 2 piecing projects and I'm about to start another one. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jelly Roll Race Quilt.

http://quiltingdebbie.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 22, 2011. This weeks design wall Monday is on the cutting table. I'm making a small quilt for our grandpuppy, Jake. I plan to make the letters out of the brown tone on tone fabric in the picture. The letters will be placed diagonally, fused and stitched down. The dog biscuit print is adorable. I think I bought it at the Bay Area Quilt Show. I'm anxious to get this little quilt made. Labels: Design Wall Monday. Sunday, May 15, 2011. Labels: Design Wall Monday. Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle: October 2009

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle. Sunday, October 18, 2009. Completed photos next weekend! Sunday, October 11, 2009. The binding was pulled from the back and the blue looks so nice against the orange. I love doing these little loopies.I did them on another signature quilt once before. In the setting squares I did hearts and o's. On to the pink one that has been on my design wall for a bit, I finally figured out what to quilt on it. It is all loaded up and ready to go. http://finelyfinishedquilting.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle. Sunday, April 4, 2010. Last week I finished this client quilt. The pattern she used is Wedding Rings by Seams and Dreams. I quilted with Lava Sandy Beach on top and So Fine Pearl on the bottom. The quilting pattern is Oma's Garden by Sophie Collier. Here is the back of the quilt. Quilting on the border. I loved these hearts. This quilting pattern is very dense, you can really see the texture here. And the whole quilt. Graham taking a closer look. Sharon's Seams 2 B.

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle. Monday, July 12, 2010. Teacher Quilt and Client Rail Fence. I have fallen WAYYYYY behind with this blog AND my family blog. On top of that I (gasp! Let a client quilt leave my home without taking pictures, that's how much I have been floundering. Enough of that, here is what I have been doing. I have been doing so many client quilts with pantographs that I haven't quilted from the front of the machine in almost a year. Here is the label on the back. And the back, she...

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle: March 2010

http://finelyfinishedquilting.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle. Sunday, March 7, 2010. This a a client's quilt, she pieced this quilt for her daughter to raise money for a triathlon she is training for. When a quilt top is angular, I like to use a curvy quilting design to soften the top. There were floral fabrics, so I chose the pattern Rhapsody by Jodi Beamish. I have used this pattern twice now, so I am getting faster with it. Here is the whole top. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

Here is a full view of my niece's wedding quilt, I didn't have one for the last blog post. Up close photo of a quilt I quilted for mom, it is a gift for one of her friends, a wedding quilt I 'think'. Here it is on the frame. My niece's friend, Crystal, opening her baby quilt from me. I did straight line quilting to match the modern fabric, I see my fellow quilter Jenny Pedigo.

Finely Finished Quilting by Danielle. Sunday, February 21, 2010. T-Shirt Quilt and Claire's Dress. Here is the Ragbrai block! And a dress I am making for Claire. She picked out a sparkly fabric last quilt shop hop and asked me to make a dress for her. I am struggling through the pattern, worked on it for another 3 hours today. I am hoping to get it finished while it still fits her. I still marvel at the project runway contestants that whip out a dress in a day, with no pattern. Have a lovely week!

My poor blog has been dying a very slow death so I've made a decision. I think it's time to. I'm spending entirely too much time on my computer. Blogs, Facebook, Pinterest, etc are sucking up my time because I'm not very disciplined. I don't know when I'll be back but I hope you'll still be here when I do.
