...And I Sew: Wonky Panel Quilt
http://andisew.blogspot.com/2013/05/wonky-panel-quilt.html
Monday, May 13, 2013. This quilt was quilted by the amazing Angela Walters. I was fortunate enough to snag her to quilt this shop sample. She quilted some frames that mimicked the wonky blogs in the empty blue space of the quilt. I took this as a perfect opportunity to frame off some of my favorite characters from the Appleville panel by Suzy Ultman (by Robert Kaufman, don't know if it is available anywhere anymore). On another note, I purchased Wreck this Journal by Keri Smith. Can't wait to show you!

She quilted a couple of different designs in the stars. I used a few of my leftover strips for the backing. I just love this quilt! The colors are so cool! Wow…th...

Sara's Quilting Corner: Elmers Glue Quilt Basting Tutorial
http://sarasquiltingcorner.blogspot.com/2015/05/elmers-glue-quilt-basting-tutorial.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Elmers Glue Quilt Basting Tutorial. A loooong time ago I became increasingly frustrated with all the ways that existed to baste my larger quilts. I tried pin basting and oh my aching back, not to mention I always, without fail, would have a pucker on the back of my quilt when I had finished quilting. I tried spray basting, certainly better than pin basting but still that dreaded pucker.and I would get a headache spraying those chemicals for a large quilt. The last and probably mo...

Sara's Quilting Corner: Grand Illusion Finish!
http://sarasquiltingcorner.blogspot.com/2015/02/grand-illusion-finish.html
Sunday, February 15, 2015. I am so happy I chose to do Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt, http:/ quiltville.blogspot.com/p/grand-illusion-mystery.html. I have learned an absolute ton and I am tickled by the final results. Because I chose to not use my green sashing in the original quilt and instead make a separate lap quilt I think they both reflect more of who I am. That little cutie in the right hand corner was my assistant in hanging this quilt. I absolutely love the backing! Rose Prairie Q...

Crayon Box Quilt Studio: What is a 100 Good Wishes Quilt?
http://www.crayonboxquiltstudio.com/p/what-is-100-good-wishes-quilt.html
Completed Quilts and Projects. My Journey to Quilting. What is a 100 Good Wishes Quilt? What is a 100 Good Wishes Quilt? In northern China there is a centuries old tradition of creating a "Bai-Jia-Bei" otherwise known as a "100 Good Wishes Quilt" to welcome and celebrate a new life into the family. One hundred family and friends donate a piece of fabric along with a written wish for the baby-to-be. The wish can be anything: a quote, a poem, a saying, a verse or a simple wish from the heart. Whether adopt...
