Quilting Sisters

We're all 1/4 inch from the edge! Tuesday, August 5, 2014. YW Camp Quilt - 2014. Once again I was asked to make the camp quilt for our Stake Young Women's camp this year. The theme was based on The Wizard of Oz, so I designed a pattern from a handout. Cathy did another wonderful job in quilting it. Saturday, November 30, 2013. Last year, my family went to Mexico for the week after Christmas to build homes with Builders without Borders and it was an amazing experience! Sunday, October 13, 2013. I'm headin...

Quilting Sisters: 2013 Quilts - Part 1

http://quiltingsisters.blogspot.com/2013/06/2013-quilts-part-1.html

We're all 1/4 inch from the edge! Friday, June 28, 2013. 2013 Quilts - Part 1. I've been quilting since 2005 and have probably finished about 400 quilts (yep, I 'm a little obsessive, crazy and want world peace). My beloved in-laws passed away this past year after 65 years of marriage. As we went through photos for the funeral videos I found a few pictures of them and my quilts. My mother-in-law loved my quilts and I loved making them for her. Here are the quilts I have made so far this year:. Nice quilt...

Quilting Sisters: February 2013

http://quiltingsisters.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

We're all 1/4 inch from the edge! Wednesday, February 20, 2013. The Night Before Christmas. I just finished making this quilt top for Darlene. The pattern, The Night Before Christmas. Is by Bunny Hill and the fabrics were from French General. What a wonderful interpretation of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" - so cute! I am also making a similar-looking quilt for myself, but don't have it quite finished. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to our Quilting Blog! Quiltville's Quips and Snips! The best s...

Quilting Sisters: Zoom Zoom

http://quiltingsisters.blogspot.com/2013/07/zoom-zoom.html

We're all 1/4 inch from the edge! Wednesday, July 10, 2013. I made this baby quilt for our local quilt shop (which, unfortunately, is going out of business). I had never really sewn on minkie before and am not sure I want to again - but I probably will as minkie is so soft and this quilt turned out to be so cute. I even did the little bit of quilting that needed to be done. :). July 13, 2013 at 5:32 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to our Quilting Blog! Quiltville's Quips and Snips! The be...

Quilting Sisters: July 2013

http://quiltingsisters.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

We're all 1/4 inch from the edge! Saturday, July 13, 2013. This is one of those quilts you have a love/hate relationship with. I kept making mistakes and it drove me crazy! But now that it is done, I love it! I'm really sick and tired of being nice. I'm heading up to Alaska next week and a friend is letting us stay at her place and another friend is taking us fishing for an entire day. So what's a quilter to do? Make them each a quilt! I sit and pet them like a new puppy. I want to marry them. We are fri...

I love Girls Camp and have been as a leader more years than I can keep track of both in the stake and in the ward levels, so your quilt really caught my attention. Bee In My Bonnet.

The Black and White Quilt Challenge Project: November 2009

http://bwquiltchallenge.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

The Black and White Quilt Challenge Project. Sunday, November 22, 2009. While on retreat, I had the opportunity to finish up my Black and White Challenge! Well, just the top is done. I have to make the back and then quilt it, mere technicalities. Anyway, here it is. I really love the splash of orange in this. The design is really a variation of the Kaleidoscope block, but by adding extra pieces it makes it spin! You can find the pattern HERE. Saturday, November 21, 2009. The Threave challenge project.

I decided to make him a wall quilt. Labels: Black and White Quilt Challenge. Soon I will have grandchildren of the teen age, yikes! Hope I can be a cool grandma too. January 31, 2010 at 4:36 PM. The Black and White Quilt Challenge Project: My B & W contribution. At last!!

http://bwquiltchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-b-w-contribution-at-last.html

The Black and White Quilt Challenge Project. Saturday, January 30, 2010. My B and W contribution. At last! For the same friend, I made this cute wall hanging for her new home. I also made this top from the left over fabrics from the first quilt. Yes, so I over estimated! There's always the stash. As yet, this one does not have a home, so will remain a top until a home is found. It is a disappearing 9 patch and sew easy but sew effective. Very effective with the disappearing nine patch! What a fun theme!
