A new occasional feature, capturing my Dad's memories while he is still around to tell them. This one, starring me! It was the evening, or maybe late afternoon, of August 28, 1951. Mom's water broke, and Dad brought her over to the hospital. At the time, Dad was part of the broadcast team for the local baseball team, the Elmira Pioneers. It's about life, my life, quilts, midwifery, and whatever else occurs to me. Waiting for The Word. So, we already know I submitted my thesis on 31 August. A few weeks ago I was able to see online that it was sent out for examination on 11 September (bad luck? And the thesis examiners' reports were due back on 30 October. This is the area I grew up. I was glued to the TV, worried to find any familiar faces among the victims. What can I do to help? I live so far away fom Japan. But I should do something. Mar 21, 2011. Quilt Messing Around

Quilting. With a lot of mistakes. I learn from them (mostly). Friday, July 27, 2012. I got a new (to me) toy for my sewing room. Here it is in pieces on the (messy) sewing room floor:. You can just see the machine in the upper left corner of the tarp. Here's the picture from the craigslist ad:. We put everything in the back of the car, bungeed the trunk shut and took it home. Quite an adventure. I'm very excited to get it up and running soon. This is definitely my Whoop Whoop! Thursday, July 26, 2012.

quiltmiep

Dit houdt mij van de straat. Donderdag 25 juni 2015. Als je niet gewoon wekelijks iets plaatst kan het zijn dat je in 1 keer heel veel te vertellen hebt. Zaterdag 30 mei was mijn vader jarig.
