The Quiltbeagle: Where has the time gone?
http://quiltbeagle.blogspot.com/2010/08/where-has-time-gone.html
Friday, August 27, 2010. Where has the time gone? Well, it's now August, yes, AUGUST! I really need to get to this blog more often. The summer was hot and the kids were home from school. Now that school is in again maybe I can get to that hand quilting? It's getting harder and harder to do hand quilting with the arthritis making my fingers go numb. I can only quilt for 10 minutes or so at a time, and that's when I even get to sew on it at all. August 28, 2010 at 6:23 PM. August 28, 2010 at 7:58 PM. Pictu...

November 19th, 2014 - Sweet Melissa's Crossroads
http://www.sweetmelissascrossroads.com/blog/november-19th-2014
November 19th, 2014. I cook and mash my potatoes at a lull point in the preparations.a few hours before dinner. I butter a crock pot, top to bottom, and put just enough milk in the bottom to cover the space. I put all of the potatoes in the crock pot, dot with butter pats, cover, and turn on the lowest setting. Now forget about those and have another glass of wine. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. How do you like them apples? - Sweet Melissa's Crossroads
http://www.sweetmelissascrossroads.com/blog/how-do-you-like-them-apples
How do you like them apples? If doing a crumb topping, I like nuts and a tad of vanilla in mine. My crust recipe, which I will share, I roll thicker than what is suggested. Mostly because I love crust and I prefer a thicker crust to filling ratio. One thing I must insist on, vanilla ice cream on the side. My mouth is watering. 2/3 cup shortening (preferably cold). 2 TB cold butter. 6 tablespoons ice cold water. Stir together flour and salt. Using a pastry blender. Preheat oven to 350. Add 1/2 hot water.

The Quiltbeagle: Where did that month go?
http://quiltbeagle.blogspot.com/2010/10/where-did-that-month-go.html
Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Where did that month go? On the quilt subject, I'm STILL working on that Pineapple Blossom pattern from Bonnie Hunter's site. It's taking FOREVER! I really need to get it finished since the quilt on my bed has gotten thin and has tears in it (it's 18 years old and has been washed more times than I can remember). I just love her patterns. studio adventures: WIP Wednesday
http://studioadventures-susan.blogspot.com/2014/09/wip-wednesday.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. WIP (works in progress). Another Heather Ross collection, this time Briar Rose. I had big ideas to make up the collection in Tula Pink’s City Sampler. I started making the 6” blocks months ago and only managed to make 16 of the 100 blocks. Yesterday I looked at those 16 blocks and decided to add borders and sashing and make a 40” baby quilt. Almost done. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Davidson, NC, United States. View my complete profile. A stitch in dye.

studio adventures: Eco Garland
http://studioadventures-susan.blogspot.com/2010/11/eco-garland.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Since the paper is painted on both sides, the garland is reversible. I’m not finished with this idea yet. I see a lot more possibilities. 03 November, 2010. Kelly Girl Quilts: I'm Baaack...
http://kellygirlquilts.blogspot.com/2014/03/im-baaack.html
2006 - 2010 Finish. Monday, March 10, 2014. With some recent fabric purchases (of course) for a few projects that I'm currently working on. This for my Tra La, Tra La. Quilt binding. It's recently back from the most fantastic quilter Judy Irish. I think I'm settled on this after testing several fabrics, and even making a binding and then tearing it off after not being happy with it! Pictures of the quilt and the quilting coming soon I promise! A couple of yellows as I am making Freddy Moran chickens.
