Scattered Scraps and Snippets: January 2010
http://scatteredscraps.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Scattered Scraps and Snippets. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. I've been thinking about a lot of things this week. 1 I love my stash. Am I going to add to it this year? Yep Am I going to use up a lot of it this year? Sure hope so. Am I going to spend time I could be sewing counting it and adding it up? Nope Not gonna do it right now. It is what it is. 4 I am NOT going to set unattainable goals. My ONLY New Years resolution is to FINISH more than I start. That's it and I know I can do that.

Scattered Scraps and Snippets: Crunch Time!
http://scatteredscraps.blogspot.com/2010/02/crunch-time.html
Scattered Scraps and Snippets. Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Each year the President of our guild picks a "Challenge" quilt. Anyone who participates presents their work at the March meeting. This years theme was Log Cabin's. It can be any size, and it doesn't have to be quilted, just a top is OK. Miss Procrastinator that I am put mine off.but I've been having fun making blocks like this one. Guess what I'll be bringing to do on Saturday. Top has to be done by March 2! I can do it! Quiltifications: Icy Hunters Star
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2015/02/icy-hunters-star.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. It's all cut out and piecing has started! I had a little trouble at first getting the unusual angles to line up correctly after sewing. Turns out the seam allowance wants to be a thread's width narrower than I was making them. Now that it's straightened out though piecing is moving along well. But I've gotten ahead of myself. I made a bunch of 3 7/8" strips (to minimize waste) and ran them through my Go! Of course I meant 45°! 15 February, 2015 09:25. English, spanish, ...

Quiltifications: Two Quickie Tops
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2015/03/two-quickie-tops.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. I spent the weekend at a quilting retreat with some of my best quilting buddies this past weekend. I try to bring fairly easy things to work on with all pieces pre-cut because I can never focus on quilting well enough when people are telling interesting stories or passing a plate of cookies around. Both of these were made primarily from a batch of fairly plain green fabrics I recently received. English, spanish, italian, russian). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Quiltifications: Marcy's Leftovers Complete
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2014/10/marcys-leftovers-complete.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. This quilt was made from a bunch of muslin, a couple of pieces of solids from my stash, and a friend's leftovers. The poor thing was put on Terpsichore and taken back off again half a dozen times before I finished all the quilting. I got a little whimsical in the borders. My freehand circles are about as round as my homemade pancakes which is to say not especially round. It was fun to quilt and I love the pattern the quilting makes on the back,. Quiltifications: Dizzying Disappearing Rhapsody
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2015/02/dizzying-disapearing-rhapsody.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. The top is finished! Still trying to decide about a border, but otherwise, it's done. There was a LOT of matchy-matchy involved in this top, but it's good exercise. I'm happy with the fabrics and the layout. Next up is the hunter's star I've been hoping to do for probably two years. Still cutting out parts for it, but piecing will start this week. 12 February, 2015 14:38. You cant go wrong with a red and white quilt. English, spanish, italian, russian).

Quiltifications: Muse of Quilting and Stitchery
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2008/01/muse-of-quilting-and-stitchery.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. Muse of Quilting and Stitchery. She (my new quilting machine) has a name. I agonized over this for several days and it was a toss up between simply calling her my therapist and naming her Terpsichore. Terpsichore won. For those of you who don't file away greek mythology as clever party conversation topics (I wonder why I don't get invited to more parties? Terpsichore is the muse (one of nine. Quiltifications: Curtain to Quilt
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2014/12/curtain-to-quilt.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. I received (as part of a very large donation of fabrics) the blue and green panels in this quilt as valances. They'd probably been hanging in someone's kitchen for a while and when styles or tastes changed the curtains came down. After picking apart the valances and pressing the fabrics, the stripe was added from my stash to make a very simple quilt. The backing fabric, also from my stash was a serendipitous match. Quiltifications: The Respect It Deserves
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-respect-it-deserves.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. The Respect It Deserves. My friend who is a quilter also makes gorgeous ceramics. I regularly snatch works of art out of her trash can. For my birthday she made me this amazing bowl. It's deeper than the average bowl and the sides are a bit steeper, making it both fabulous to hold and far more useful when loading stuff on top of a scoop of ice cream. Here it is being treated with the respect it deserves:. English, spanish, italian, russian). Email me (please, no ads).

Quiltifications: Bright Autumn Colors
http://quiltifications.blogspot.com/2013/10/bright-autumn-colors.html
Weblog and Idea Spot for Quilters. I was so taken with the colors in their pumpkin fat quarter collection when I saw them in Keepsake Quilting. S summer catalog that I went to my stash and pulled a collection as similar as I could. No idea what I wanted to make with them of course, but there was the stack of fabrics on my sewing table; waiting. In an unrelated quilt gawking, I saw this quilt. In an advertisement for the Fat Quarter Shop. And thought it would be perfect for those fabrics.
