What's New in the Studio! Friday, August 26, 2016. It's been a busy year, 2016. This is a kit that I purchased. Jeff has been wanting me do a Christmas quilt. When I saw this, I thought that it would be a quick way to get one done without designing one. The pattern was for a tree skirt, but I don't think it will be at our house. We are going to use it for the Christmas dinner table. Won't that be beautiful? Scary to think that Christmas is just a few months away. Where has this year gone to? A little tra...

What's New in the Studio! Wednesday, January 13, 2016. So much ado about something. So this week we start off with the red and white quilt that I had previously shown you some of the blocks that I was working on a couple of months back. Jeff already has some ideas for the quilting. He will be starting on it in the next month or so. We will have it completed by the June 2016 Tulsa Quilt Show where there will be many red and white quilts on display this year. It will post on my Etsy. Then, Jeff finished th...

What's New in the Studio! Sunday, February 21, 2016. How beautiful the weather has been in February in Oklahoma. The weather in February 2016 has been beautiful! Sunny days and temperatures over 65 degrees, but no rain so there have been many fires. I think after a couple of days of the area firemen fighting the grass fires, and finally they are out. Yea! I did, however, come home with some vintage quilt tops. Do you see this Double Wedding Ring? I have also been working on my kite block quilt. Still...

What's New in the Studio! Thursday, June 30, 2016. Vintage Machines and more. Lately, I've been working on lots of things. Among them is this new obsession with vintage sewing machines. This one is the latest find. Purchased from the Salvation Army Resale Store in Florida, a Singer clone, class 15 machine. Made in Japan in the 1950's, under the "Fabric" Sewing Machine name for a company in New York. She has very nice stitches and sews through anything. In all my research, I believe all 4 of these machine...
