Quilts and Other Hobbies

Quilts and Other Hobbies. Saturday, January 17, 2015. I am finally back to posting and want to wish you a Happy New Year. On January 1, 2015 my DH lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. It was unexpected at the time as he was doing well. I am slowly getting back into my sewing room. My design wall has looked like this for months. I have made some progress on AW 1662 by Scarlet-Letter. I have read several good books over the last couple months and I highly recommend them if you like historical fiction.

Quilts and Other Hobbies. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Someone reminded me it has been along time since I posted. Where to begin – shortly after the first of the year my husband was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He is over half way with his Chemo treatments and later this Summer he will undergo the Whipple Procedure. I also worked some more on this sampler. I really like it but I have to lay it down and stitch on something else sometimes. Math on this one. So that is what is going on in my world. Blackbird...

It is called House on the Square – designed Jacqueline Paton. You can adjust the width of the strips according to how much of the accent fabric you want to show. Also, when you go to ...

Handmade With Love

Sunday, October 12, 2014. I just LOVE this Train panel! I've done this before, many moons ago. So was really happy to have found it again! The border I chose for this was perfect! It was bright and blended. Well with all the colours of the panel. Had some left over and decided to make a matching pillow! The backing fabric was a tiny dot in turquoise blue and the binding. Was dark blue solid. Measurement : 42"W x 50"L. Sunday, October 12, 2014. Love the nature-feel of this panel! Looking good here :-).
