http://frombolttobeauty.blogspot.com/2015/07/what-heck-do-i-do-with-this.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. What the Heck Do I Do with This? If you had asked me a few weeks ago about my first quilt, I would have told you about the humble picnic blanket. I made of 8-inch squares for my friend Miss K. I would have told you how making it was an exercise in locating my inner quilter and determining whether I was interested in pushing a gigantic swath of fabric and batting through my machine on a regular basis. You’d be wrinkled too if you were folded up and forgotten in my guest room. Do I ...

From Bolt to Beauty: The Dilemma of Home-Dec Scraps
http://frombolttobeauty.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-dilemma-of-home-dec-scraps.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. The Dilemma of Home-Dec Scraps. When I started sewing 12-plus years ago, one of the designers I was particularly taken with was Amy Butler. At the time, she had just a fabric collection or two under her belt, and her lines were exclusively home-dec weight. That was fine by me; back then, I sewed exclusively bags and items for my new house. Now, years later, I can add quilter. While plotting a bag for Audrey, a fellow quilter who blogs at Hot Pink Quilts. Please note that, yes,...

Adoption Homestead: Followup call with Dr Keenan
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015/08/followup-call-with-dr-keenan.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption and Homesteading. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Followup call with Dr Keenan. The call went about as expected. He said that now we've had every outcome of EA possible- live birth, early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy), and a negative beta. He said that we (he and us) were really expecting the transfer to result in pregnancy. Mat and I made a list of questions last night. Dr's responses in italics. Anything we can do to improve chances? Gut says stick with current embryos.

Quilting, Embroidered Paper Dolls. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. My First Sew Together Bag. This is the front of my first Sew Together Bag. And simple blocks on point. I like h...
