The personal journey of an art quilter. About NY Art Quilter. Nikon School … my adventures with learning photography. December 15, 2010. So that’s why I agreed to spend last weekend in New York City attending two-days of seminars conducted by the Nikon School (www.nikonusa.com). I needed somebody to. Me how to use my camera, and to. The personal journey of an art quilter. About NY Art Quilter. December 16, 2010. My friend Vicki and I had a long talk about our recent quilting projects. Like me, she’s become pretty good at piecing. She’s making a gorgeous quilt and attempted a difficult design in the quilting. Probably, I think, too difficult for a domestic machine. But she’s challenging herself and she’s becoming an awesome quilter. But, guess what? Her quilt isn’t perfect either! Secondly, most gifts go to non-quilters. I showed...

Over the past several months, I have thought of blogging about Rachel, but I never did because at first she was only applying, and what if it didn't happen? Felines and Fibre Arts: January 2013
http://felinesandfibrearts.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Felines and Fibre Arts. Sunday, January 20, 2013. I've been working on the Lotus applique design and it has taken some time to get things right in terms of size and proportion. I think things would go faster if I was a trained artist but I'm not. So here is what I have so far. Then what I plan on doing for the diamond background area is quilting in a continuation of the Lotus pond with leaves, buds, seed pods and a flower or two. Here are some pictures of what Lotus ponds look like. Links to this post.

Felines and Fibre Arts. Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Alpaca Wall Hanging - Part 2. I didn't get my alpaca wall hanging done last week. Partly it was due to the fact that I had issues with the thread painting and the other thing was I came down with a flu bug last week so that kind of did me in for doing much of anything last week.
