The Schels At Home. Sunday, June 28, 2015. After our excursion to Santa Barbara, we just had to get back to the beach. For one thing, it's about a 30 degree difference in temperature. We've been having it way too hot in San Dimas, while the beach communities are pretty much 70's. We chose the La Jolla Cove Suites hotel. The Schels At Home. Monday, October 6, 2014. For many years, Duane has been a member of the Ramona Duck Club, a non-profit duck hunting club near the San Jacinto Wildlife Preserve, by Lake Perris. He enjoys duck hunting amongst the small ponds in duck blinds constructed by the members. Most years we are lucky enough to have the annual meeting at Doheny State Beach. Not only is it at the ocean, but they also have a large grassy area with trees, and picnic tables on a concrete patio. Links to this post.

The Schels At Home. Monday, May 11, 2015. Mother's Day is always special for me. It's so nice to be pampered by my loved ones. This Mother's Day was Melissa's first one, and we were so happy to be able to celebrate it with her. She is such a good mother, and her total joy in caring for baby Bronson shines through. Daddy Adam is truly a hand's on Dad, and as you can see, he loves being right in there doing things like making Bronson smile. Grandpa is always right there to hold and play with the baby.

Pumpkins, costumes, and so much more on my mind lately. i have been having fun decorating my new mantel. As well as the island centerpiece. And my entryway table. I also made a fun new ghost garland. And can't forget about this year's chalkboard art. We had a blast taking family selfies at the local pumpkin patch. this year we decided to go at night and now i am hooked. no heat, not too crowded, oh, and don't forget your selfie pole. The Schels At Home. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Heather and I made plans to spend the day together. It's always fun to plan some type of activity for the kids, so I suggested we go to see The Big Tree in Glendora. I did a blog about this spot a while ago. Duane noticed this tree when he was working at Glendora Community Hospital, and it is indeed a treasure. The tree is a historical landmark. The kids had a blast climbing all over its massive roots. There is a gazebo and huge planters also on the property.

The old no. 40. Someone turned 40 this past week. of course we had to celebrate in a big way. and this guy has a lot of friends, cuz who doesn't love jason. a birthday bash it was! Once i found a theme to use it was pretty easy; jack daniels is such a classic. i only stressed about the number of people invited, over 50. but everyone fit and it seemed that they all had a great time. i love how the invitations turned out. Of course we had some entertainment. Here are the families(with a friend mixed in).
