the queue: my considerable elbow grease

http://www.quitthequeue.blogspot.com/2006/01/my-considerable-elbow-grease.html

Thursday, January 12, 2006. My considerable elbow grease. For those of you who still stop in here once in a while, here's an update. I've been shampooing carpets pretty much non-stop since Monday, and I'm almost done. Needless to say I've had some thinking time. A few posts ago I mentioned that I might start posting some dreams for the future. Here's a first draft of sorts:. So there's a dream in short. I've also been thinking a lot about God, and maybe a little too much about me (surprise, surprise)...

the queue: the oncoming Israelites

http://www.quitthequeue.blogspot.com/2006/02/oncoming-israelites.html

Thursday, February 23, 2006. Who would have thought an unemployed person could find so much to do? It's nice to post again. I had a tender dream last night that has left me feeling warm all day, and I'm currently debating (even as I rattle away here) whether I should share it so publicly. I only remember a few select details, and I'm sure as I've thought about it at points throughout the day I've added good smells and misty moments, and subtracted the stumbles and embarassed giggles. Maybe that's all I.

the queue: December 2005

Thursday, December 22, 2005. I feel just like the evil man I seem to be. I feel a little slumpy . as if I'm in a bit of a slump. Money's tight, no job, not a lot of direction. I'm trying to figure out how to successfully live at home again. I just found out that I've damaged my back and have started a long-term chiropractic journey. I hate not being in control.). And if you're anything like me you know that brackety part back there is the problem. Posted by Simon at 2:58 PM. Thursday, December 08, 2005.

Wednesday, June 07, 2006. Like brothers who love each other. Shoot If you're actually reading this, I commend you. I'll be amazed if anyone still checks this. My sister got married on May 20, and, as a bridesmaid, my life on and around that date was both delightful and busy. Blogging has not been a priority. I've had all sorts of things to write about, and no time to write any of it down. Here goes. Hey Saskatoonareans, how about the weather these days? I'll never know because I drive too fast.

the queue: September 2005

http://www.quitthequeue.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 22, 2005. It'll be weird to live at home. It'll be weird to look for a job. And I want to go to university, but I don't know what I want to study. This is all very humbling and disconcerting for me - not knowing what's happening next. Anyway, I could write about this for reams and reams, but I'm going to stop. I'm sure it will come up again in the future. Right now I'm listening to Steve Bell sing Bruce Cockburn's "All the Diamonds", from Steve's album. Posted by Simon at 9:56 PM.

"They're not smores; they're samosas!": June 2005

http://7thevan.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html

They're not smores; they're samosas! Saturday, June 18, 2005. 1 I'm not surprised that Michael Jackson was found not guilty of the major charges against him. I am surprised he was acquitted of EVERYTHING. Well that's not quite true.I suppose he is still guilty of being a weirdo. I could be tarred-and-feathered for this if I write this in a city named after a Queen. 3 I picked up a basketball for the first time in years last week. I'm still deadly from beyond the arc. 4 I've lost my golf swing again.

"They're not smores; they're samosas!": July 2005

http://7thevan.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html

They're not smores; they're samosas! Saturday, July 23, 2005. Simon, I think it's a good thing that I couldn't make it out to Calgary. It would've been great to see you again.but that beating the Riders took tonight would have left me in a rather foul mood ;). I can't recall the last time I turned a Rider game off that early. That was disgraceful. Of all the games to be ill-prepared, sloppy, and ineffective, why did it have to be against Henry Burris and the Stampeders? Posted by Ev(an) at 11:55 PM.

Thursday, April 29, 2004. Songwriting and that other thing. I was just on The Violet Burning's website (www.thevioletburning.com) and came across this little quote from modern-day mystic, Mike Pritzl (aka, The Violet Burning):. You know, a song like I See Stars or Slowa those songs, man, they just, they kill me. When we play those songs, they’re really strikingly beautiful. And sometimes for me, I think, God, where did this come from? Long live Jason Martin! Posted by Cameron @ 2:03 AM. God is in the win...

Sunday, March 28, 2004. Passion of the Songwriter. So here I am, 3:30 in the morning, and I've decided to indulge myself and come here to post my current thoughts on. life? Hmm, I'm not sure. Well, I was actually just wondering, as I was brushing my teeth before going to bed (it's strange how many songs and ideas have come to me while brushing my teeth, heck, while in the bathroom period, for that matter (ok ok, enough said, I get it ) , uhh, anyway. OpenTank O (O) ((O)) - The Corner - Summertime (6.25.2003)

A demi-blog of poetry and commentary. How four weeks turned into four months, I'll never know. Though I've been watching (and blogging) in other places, there's no missive yet on what Open Tank as a web log really means. It just feels different. Than the rest of the blogosphere to work in fits and starts and to produce content aside from commentary. Installing the software will also have to wait for another day. I dig back into the winter months and find these awaiting the light of day:. How do you say.
