Sunday, March 11, 2012. This is our church's first year to have AWANA. Last Saturday, the kids had an opportunity to participate in the Pinewood Derby. They were very excited to make their own cars and decorate them any way they wanted. Their cars weren't the fastest but they had a really good time. Monday, November 19, 2012. Trey was in play today at school. His TAG group did a play about the life of Cesar Chavez. He was a migrant worker who fought for equal rights and led the boycott of farmers in the mid-1900's. I didn't know anything about him before helping Trey learn his lines. 65279; In the end, he did an outstanding job. He had the most lines and was the only one who had them completely memorized. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. My baby is growing up. We were sitting around and Dave checked in Leah's mouth. "Oh my word Leah, you are going to loose your tooth soon.". So they wiggled and jiggled. Talked and giggled. Several offers ensued of ways to get it out. I suggested she go in her room and look in the mirror. She came back out and said, "Dad it fell on my floor.". You lost your tooth! And you are just standing there reporting on it with no more expression in your voice than Mountain Man on Duck Dynasty!

Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Something amazing happened to me today. I got to enjoy a frappacino in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Although it was yummy, that wasn't the amazing part. Here it is. After ordering my drink, I was asked my name. I told her but at the same time, wondered what it would look like on the cup she was writing on. Most people don't say my name correctly, let alone spell it. Imagine my surprise when I saw this. The ensuing conversation was this. Her: Oh, is it right?

Monday, June 24, 2013. Plotting, Peddling and Paddling Along. Somehow our Tardy Rooster blog got messed up and doesn't work anymore:( So I am posting here. Dave may add his thoughts in a different color. Dave and I did an Adventure Race over the weekend. I have reported about many races that I have done. Somehow, every time I do a race I end up having several "firsts". This race was no different. Beginning with the first time I raced with Chad Hannon. Hi Chad! We quickly corrected and found 8 then to cp 9.

Thursday, January 12, 2012. Leah slipped in her skates and landed on the floor. Lexi looked at me calmly (while Leah is screaming) and says, "Mom, your youngest is on the floor." (Youngest?
