Since leaving Boa Vista, I’ve been on a mission north, taking roughly 10 days to get through Venezuela and northern Colombia. Verdict on Venezuela? Not a fan, I’m sad to say. First impressions, I think, were partly to blame. On the road up from Boa Vista, I was stopped at least 10 times by the police asking for a full inspection of my documentation. What’s that about? Weird obsession with money, bred out of a rather iffy economic.
