Everything's Not Terrible: February 2006
http://notterrible.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 8. Days Three through Eight of IMOK Tempus Fugit. For those keeping score, K has gotten eight gifts so far. Even though I’ve already acquired most of the remaining IMOK gifts, the scope of the task is starting to become clear. But that would be ridiculous. What would I do for Christmas and her birthday and May two-four? How would I reconcile the difference between an occasion and a regular day? Get her a gift? Yeah, let’s see how that flies! Friday, February 3. K, on the other hand, i...

Everything's Not Terrible: December 2005
http://notterrible.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 15. So this Christmas thing is turning out to be quite a bit of work. You have to buy presents, wrap them, visit people, write a dozen cards, and be cheery while everyone else scrambles around malls, busses and streets - themselves under the same stresses that you are. But you know what? On a very important and meaningful level, it is all worth it. And sometimes, the extra effort that you put into the season comes out for the better in the end. Witness:. It was a small thing, but it wa...

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: November 2006
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Monday, November 13, 2006. I'm getting in trouble again for leaving such a long time between posts. We are moving. Brad and I have bought a townhouse in Newmarket - 3 bedrooms, so as long as you can put up with the (temporary) Noah's ark motif on the walls, or a light blue/pale green combo, we will welcome guests. It's very close to Brad's school and only a few minutes from the train station for me. We will post pictures as soon as we have them. Toddling with my Heart.

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: January 2008
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Okay New plan with the blog. Regular blogging is apparently a bit of a challenge. Maybe monthly is a little more realistic. Missing our weekend and day trips in the UK, we are trying to discover more of Ontario. Our goal is to go away at least a day trip somewhere in Ontario (or nearby) - every month. Fittingly though, I’m already behind. Here are some of the wineries we visited, where we tasted (and bought) some great wines. And more snow .

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: July 2006
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Sunday, July 16, 2006. Our first Canada Day back in Canada in three years. We definitely missed the party in Covent Garden, and nostaligically looked back at the very chilly Canada Day we spent last year on the Orkney Islands with Phil and Megan, but ended up having a very "Canadian" Canada Day on Manitoulin Island with some friends. Brad and I camped in "Batman's" campsite the first night waiting for Todd and Shannon to arrive and woke up in the morning to discover ...

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: April 2007
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Whine and Cheese, and Wine and Cheese. Here you go Phil - an update so you stop giving me a hard time. And, I wonder how many people end up visiting the greenhouse just to get out the cold? It is always a good excuse for a visit -and always beautiful inside.). Then, just 15 minutes down the road are wineries, more than 100 little B&Bs, huge houses and a pretty little town. The tour was pretty interesting and included more sampling. Whine and ...

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: June 2006
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Sunday, June 18, 2006. We finally got around to getting a blog . after months of procastinating, which means catching up a little bit. We went to Boston for the Easter weekend, driving down in Brad's mom's Mustang, and staying in a place called Danvers, just outside Salem, not too far from Boston. Our hotel had a beautiful view over the highway as you can see. There is a nice little memorial garden for the men and women who were hung for witchcraft. Here's a few pics:.

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: January 2007

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Sunday, January 28, 2007. And more snow . No jumping this weekend - had a hard enough time staying upright going down the hills (with turns at the bottom). We went cross-country skiing just oustide Barrie with my parents. It was a little tiring, but great exercise and the weather was perfect. There was some wonderfully soft snow to break my fall when I didn't make the corner at the bottom of the hill . luckily I missed the tree. Posted by Dawn at 6:20 PM.

Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures: December 2006
http://dawnandbrad.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Dawn and Brad's Excellent Adventures. Sunday, December 10, 2006. No Home Depot, but I have a giraffe. We thankfully have enough nosy friends at the moment who want to come and snoop around our new place that we didn't really have to go anywhere this weekend - and that includes Home Depot. Dad, I hope you're not reading this, but a good weekend over the last few weeks has turned into one where we. Have to go to Home Depot or Home Hardware. Because I had a. Posted by Dawn at 5:14 PM.
