Sanctuary Amidst the Silicon. One Day. . . This has been two weekends in a row that friends were expected and the fog magically cleared just in time. This morning it cleared for us and lingered lower down. I love the feeling of being on a island above the fog. I hosted brunch for the Bitches today to celebrate Tina & Scott's engagement. Week Full of Kryptonite. Sanctuary Amidst the Silicon. One Day. . . Week Full of Kryptonite. Last Friday: 2 year anniversary with SK. Nice and low key celebration. Still not quite sure how two years have flown by so quickly. Feel like lucky girl who stumbled upon a lottery win. I have to admit I'm addicted to my new satellite DVR recorder! I haven't had true television in about 10 years and have never used anything like DVR/Tivo. It's wonderful! I absolutely LOVE fast-forwarding through commercials!

Sanctuary Amidst the Silicon. One Day. . . My flu is gone, but I have pretty big sinus infection brewing. I'm hoping I won't end up with a doctor visit. Using my neti pot and sudafed trying to clear it all out. I was hoping to go for a hike or ride my bike this afternoon, but still feel wrung out. I slept 10 hours straight last night. I think if I just get moving, I'll feel a lot better. That's what usually gets me in trouble- doing too much too fast. Time to give myself a talking to and do something!

I drove straight over to pick it up and not only was it there, but the store manager tied a balloon to it and gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers! He wanted me to feel better after my panic. For work with the thought that everyone in the dept would take turns updating it but that has not turned out that way. Hopefully, I can encourage someone else to try posting at least once. Sanctuary Amidst the Silicon. One Day. . . Dan & Elizabeth, Steve's brother and sister-in-law arrived today! They drove down from Seattle by way of Yosemite and are enscounced on the mountain waiting for us both to get home from work. I'm going to be here until 9:30 at best and 11:00 at worst. Bummer! I want to home visiting and hearing all about thier adventures. I haven't seent them since last fall and for nine months of that time they were living on the Galapagos islands!
