I peeked over at her as i squatted down to clean up the glass. blood was running down her face. i cannot begin to tell you the panic that filled me, and the overwhelming guilt. the cut was deep enough that it didn't hurt her, she wasn't alarmed at her blood, and she didn't mind us bandaging the cut as we hurried out the door to the doctor. I didn't want her to just munch on chocolate, get a cheap gift everyday, or mix up the meaning of what this season is about.I guess I wanted it to be a little more intentional. So this is what we did:. We cut 30 strips of paper and numbered them, 25 for Christmas, and an additional 5 for her birthday on the 30th. Here are some of my ideas.

Evelyn’s 2nd birthday has now come and gone, I can hardly believe it I have a 2 year old! She’s such a big, happy girl. Friday, March 30th, was her actual birthday and we enjoyed a nice mellow day together and gave her our gift first thing in the morning and then we had a great breakfast out with my family. Saturday, June 15, 2013. For the last 6 years, Memorial Day and any other "free" time often meant Daddy was working on his dissertation. This year it was glorious! The weather was beautiful - blue skies, sunny, and not at all hot or humid. We had such a great weekend relaxing as a WHOLE family. First up, strawberry picking.
