Thoughts from a Single Lady. December 10, 2015. December 16, 2015. I received an invitation in the mail the other day for a holiday party given by a charitable organization. The invite gave the date, time and location of the party. At the bottom it read $85/couple. Was this intentional? Did the sender really mean to exclude persons coming alone? Does this mean I can’t go if I want to attend without a date? Is the price different for singles? What if I was newly single by divorce or even worse death?
